I don't remember the username of my old account and/or don't have access to my old e-mail address. What can I do?

In order to be able to retrieve a lost password, you need to have both the username and access to the email address used to register the EVE Online account.

If you don't remember the username or if you for some reason do not have access to the e-mail address used, please file a Support Ticket in the appropriate category (Billing & Account > Lost Accounts & Passwords).

For us to be able to verify your ownership of the account and give you access again, it is important to include the following information in the petition:

  1. The CD key used to create the account (if a CD key was used).
  2. A scan of the CD key and the game box (if used to create the account).
  3. The last 4 digits and the expiration date of the credit card used to pay for the subscription (if a credit card was used).
  4. The full name used to register the account.
  5. The email address used to register the account (if only the username is lost), and the payment order ID (as shown on the credit card statement).
  6. The date of birth given when account was registered.
  7. The names of the characters located on the account.
  8. The username for the account (if only the e-mail address is lost).

When we have received and verified all these details, we should be able to give you full access to the account.

How do I change and/or retrieve my password?

These actions can be performed through the EVE website.

Changing your password

On the Eve-online webpage you can edit your profile. Once you log-in with your username and password you can change your account information, including your password.

You can also arrange for having a new password sent to you, should you have forgotten it, by entering your e-mail address and login name here.

Please keep in mind that CCP will NEVER ask for your account password. CCP might ask for your account name and ingame character name though.

Retrieving your password

Enter your username and email address in this form and we will send you your username and password within minutes.

When I type my username and password I get the following message, what can I do?

Please note: Incorrect username or password

If you get this message in the login screen, please make sure that you are typing the username/password correctly. Note that usernames and passwords are case sensitive.

If you are absolutely sure you are typing the username and password correctly, but still get an error message, chances are that the account creation process wasn't successfully finished. In this case, please file a petition.
