The Stabber is the mainstay of the Minmatar fleet. It is light and extremely fast, yet surprisingly powerful, with a wide variety of weapons. It is one of few Minmatar vessels that have reached popularity outside Minmatar space.

Arguably the best Tech 1 cruiser for small gang PVP, the Stabber is a fast and dangerous opponent. The Stabber's speed allows it to pursue and destroy small targets effectively as well take on larger opponents and survive long enough for the fleet to arrive. With a skilled pilot it is also able to evade unfavourable encounters almost effortlessly.
Generally armed with a combination of autocannons and heavy missiles, the close range damage output of the stabber is respectable, particularly since the recent projectile weapon changes in the Dominion expansion.
The Stabber relies on speed and a small buffer shield tank to survive. Opponents armed with warp scramblers or stasis webifiers can pose a threat if the stabber is careless and moves within range of these modules, although inertia will often carry it safely through. Energy neutralisers with their longer range pose a serious problem to the Stabber, and ships carrying these should be avoided.
