Practical use

The cynosural field, once fired, will prevent ejection (from the ship), docking or movement in any direction/distance.

Its duration and fuel cost can be reduced from the standard 10 minutes to 5 minutes using force recon ships such as the Pilgrim, Arazu, Falcon and Rapier. This practise is generally not used, as it is very difficult to remain alive in hostile space without support.

Frigates are most commonly used as they are expendable.
