Starbase configuration roles

Explains the different Starbase roles and their uses.

Corporation Directors and CEO may delegate special starbase roles for safety and management purposes.

Assigning starbase roles:

Like all corporation ranks, they have to be assigned through the "corporation -> members -> Role management" menu to be effective.

Starbase roles:

Starbase fuel technician/Caretaker: allows members to put and view fuel in the Control Tower bays (it is not possible for them to take back any material moved into the bays). Starbase fuel technicians may also view the "Structures" and "Processes" tabs in the Control Tower management menu but remain unable to edit any settings. This role is perfect to assign people responsible to keep the Starbase online without compromising it with a possible security breach. Note: Starbase fuel technicians do not receive starbase notification mails.

Config Starbase Equipment/Config Manager: autorizes members to fully configure and access all Starbase menus without having to give the "Director" role. Warning: only trusted and reliable corporation members should have this role assigned to.

Director/CEO: all directors and CEO automatically have the Config Starbase Equipment role by default and as such have access to everything related to a starbase.

Secondary structure access configuration:

Such roles are used in the Control Tower "manage -> Structures -> Access" window to define who is allowed to view/take/use from a particular structure in the Starbase.

Access may be configured (from the less restrictive to the most) to alliance/corporation/caretaker/config manager levels.

Please note: Assigning the "take" access also gives the "view" clearance by default, since one cannot move something away without viewing it first.
