Reprocessing Accuracy: Accurate
This page was approved Reprocessing in EVE is a combination of refining and recycling. It is the process by which ore is refined into minerals, ice is refined into ice products, and manufactured goods (such as modules, ships, and rigs) are recycled for their previous materials (e.g. T1 module/ship => minerals, capital ship => capital ship components, rig => salvage). There exists a very small selection of items in EVE which may not be reprocessed. Each item in the game has a base material composition. What an item is reprocessed into can be found if you look for it in the item database. To reprocess you must be in a station or outpost with a reprocessing plant, or a POS with a refining array. You can select as few or as many items as you like to reprocess. Once you have selected the items, hit the 'reprocess' button. This will show you the exact amount of minerals you will receive from reprocessing. At this point you can choose to reprocess, or cancel to stop. Bear in mind that your skills, standings to the owner, and the base reprocessing ability of the station and refining array will effect the amount of minerals (or other materials) that you will receive. Reprocessing is a vital activity to industrialists and miners alike. Miners use it to reprocess their raw ore before taking the minerals to the market for sale. Industrialists use this to buy modules cheaply, reprocess them, and sell the minerals for profit. This is a vital facet to New Eden.
