The Griffin is much used by the Caldari Navy as a support vessel in combat squadrons, using its impressive array of electronic gadgetry to disrupt the operation of target ships, making them easy prey for traditional combat vessels.

Additional Information
The Griffin is a rather maligned ship, one that few people pilot. The answer to that lies in its purpose. As a T1 electronic warfare hull, it is vulnerable and fails to offer much punch in its role or much tank in its defense. Add to the fact the role it fills is not one the average new player will deal with means that this ship is mainly produced as a feed stock for its T2 counterpart, the Kitsune. When it is being piloted, it is often as a disposable EW platform either by new players without the skills to use better, or a veteran who wants something they can fly and lose without batting an eyelash.
