Fighters are field by carriers or motherships to defend themselves. They do cruiser sized damage to individual large targets, while able to warp themselves, allowing for distant support.

Fighters are the largest drone currently available. They are frigate sized and piloted by a single crewman. These weapons are deadly with each race having its own variation.

The unique ability to have drones that warp is left to motherships and carriers. When the fighter is deployed, and then set to engage the target, it will pursue it relentlessly. It will follow the target into warp, and land with them and engage wherever the target goes. The only escape for this is to Jump out of system or to dock.
