Certificates Accuracy: Accurate

What is a certificate and how does it work?Certificates are a tool for pilots to allow them to, at a glance, identify which skills or set of skills are recommended for a ship, item or activity the certificate is associated with. They allow for easier skill planning and help pilots to keep tabs on what skill sets they already possess. Pilots may also choose to allow anyone to view their certificates on their character sheet so no one can doubt their ability and the skills they possess.
Character SheetYou can view all your certificate information from the certificates window in your character sheet located directly under your skills window. From this window, you can view all your current certificates and their status under the certificates tab. You can also see if they have been set to public viewing for others to see or if they are private for your eyes only. Under the permissions tab you can set the public or private status for all your certificates. You also have the option of setting all of them on public or private via the button at the bottom of the window. Please remember that you have to save your permissions by clicking the save button at the bottom of the window before closing it or your settings will not be saved. Under the setting tab you can alter the settings on how you view your certificates and permissions.
Certification PlannerYou can access the certificate planner through the Open Certificate Planner button under the certificates tab in your certificates window on your character sheet. The planner allows you to browse available certificates and view the prerequisites for each one. On the right hand side you will see the certificate you have selected, what its prerequisites are, and which certificates itself is a prerequisite for. A skill or certificate marked with a green checkmark is one you have already trained or acquired. A skill or certificate marked with a yellow circle indicates you currently have it, but have not trained or upgraded it to the required level for the certificate. A skill or certificate marked with a red cross is one you have not trained or earned at all. On the left hand side you can view each individual category and the certificates available in each one.
How do I acquire a certificate?Once you have met all the prerequisites for a certificate, it will be marked with a blue triangle mark in the certification planner window. You can then click on the Claim button to add the certificate to your selection of certificates. Alternatively you can click on the Claim All Certificates button on the lower left side of the certification planner window to claim all certificates for which you have met the prerequisites for. Please note that claiming all certificates may cause a slight delay in the response time on your client, depending on how many certificates you had unclaimed. Top Contributors For This Page
