Introduction

The Celestial Imperative (CELES) is a small alliance of corporations pursuing a freeform association loosely based on Boma Airaken's philosophy of self-determination for all pilots as well as the Kyaraban philosophy espoused by previous Executive Officer Jen Oniera, founder of the Yurai-Tenshin Zaibatsu. While the Imperative considers itself to be a Freespace organization, it differs from the Fractionist ideal of anarchy. True to its support of the self-deterministic ideal, the Imperative is not opposed to government for those that want to be governed, however, it stands opposed to oppressive fees and tarrifs that limit free trade and scientific advancement.

The Imperative objects to the idea of large powerblock governments and standings based enclosurism that restrict freedom of movement and freedom of trade in the cluster.

Historical Data

Founded by progressive Achuran seperatists in YC109, the Imperative was driven by the ambitious pursuit of secessionary ideals, particularly for the people on the Achura homeworld (Saisio III), in order to remove the culturally overbearing Caldari State from governing the Achur people. Over the following year, however, the initial momentum was hampered by inter-corporate politics resulting in the departure of some allies.

As a result, the Imperative has shifted focus to a loosely organized cell-based nomadic organization to better serve the secessionist cause and Freespace ideology in general.

Notable Events

Sixth Intergalactic Alliance Tournament (YC110)

During the 6th official Alliance Tournament, the Imperative fielded a strong squad of ships, impressive from the aspect of both value and pilot skills. Faced with opposing teams that effectively countered the Imperative ship layouts in both the qualifying and 1st rounds, the Imperative team suffered losses in each battle and subsequently retired from the competition.
