Vorpal Bunny Racing (VBR) is the name of a professional racing team no longer active with the ISRC Racing League.

History

The infamous Vorpal Bunnies were founded on Race 3 of Season V by Kanunu, a former Dragonstar Racing pilot who had in fact started the season as part of Dragonstar’s roster.

From the very first time they stepped onto the track they were the subject of much controversy as they went straight for aggression against Venture even though they stood to gain nothing from it in terms of points or league standings. This trend would continue throughout the entire season, be it on the track with guns and jamming or off the track with words and arguments.

But the controversy didn’t end there. It wasn’t lost on anyone in the League that Vorpal looked suspiciously like a hit team for league veterans Dragonstar Racing. After all, Vorpal was fielding both Kanunu and Loras Forsythe – two racers with undeniable past and present ties to Dragonstar (both the team and the corporation.) Dragonstar captain Kayleigh Jamieson-Read washed her hands of the whole affair quite vocally from the very beginning. However, after the events in Race 10, it was revealed that there had been some sharing of information between both teams along the season although to this day Ms Jamieson-Read vehemently denies ever having any influence on who the Bunnies picked as targets.

After an entire season of bringing violence to the tracks with an emphasis on anyone flying Venture colours, Vorpal were finally and very effectively shut down by Venture in Race 10. Having lost their collective patience, Venture pilots who had already secured their titles swapped from their usual classes into assault frigates, camped waypoint 1 and made sure no Bunnies lived to harass the rest of the team.

After many bitter and heated arguments during and after Race 10 between Vorpal and Venture, team captain Kanunu was heard declaring Vorpal to be extinct. They have indeed not shown up for any other seasons since then.
