Gallente Recons

In the reasonably distant past ECM modules were fitted to all kinds of ships and were quite effective. Then ECM modules themselves were nerfed so they became impractical on non-ECM bonused ships.

Then much later most ECM bonused ships were boosted to make them more useful using the lower starting strength ECM.

In a recent patch RSDs were changed in two ways, they were reduced to 2/3 of their previous effectiveness and they were given scripts so they affect only one of two aspects to full strength or both to half strength. I'm not arguing that this was a bad change as it wasn't. RSDs were being fitted to all sorts of ships (Rapiers, Ravens, Domis etc.) making them similar to ECMs of yore.

However now the RSD bonused ships are a bit lacking just like the ECM boats used to be. They cannot keep a single target from doing damage like a falcon can or even like a pilgrim can to a turret based ship.

I ask that the bonuses to RSD ships be looked at to make them more useful in small gangs. A strength boost returning them to pre-nerf strength on those ships would not be overpowered given the scripting changes.

Invention Implants

Over a year ago, a large set of new hard-wirings were implemented. Once of these were an invention implant.

Sadly, this never worked. CCP removed it from the game, talking about wanting to change them to give a time bonus on invention instead of a chance bonus.

Low Sec Boost

Officer Spawns in low sec

Storyline: These are regional criminal bosses.

Basically create a very small chance for these officer rats to spawn in 0.1 and 0.2 systems. The officer spawns are Battlecruisers themselves and drop Officer medium mods.

On top of this... there's a similar chance of these officers spawning in crappy 0.0 so all around good boost; also provides officer medium mods which can be fun.

More security

Remove gate guns from low sec. In turn create a concord faction navy spawn to replace the gate guns. Faction navy spawn having limited dps and being destructible.

  • Would bring actual security to those in asteroid belts or missions. When there is no security now.
  • Could bring a faction warfare mechanism for pirates vs antipirates to fight without incurring security hits for killing each other.

View Contracts in Context

Why is it we can right click linked text and view market details for a particular item, we but have no equivalent for contracts?

Imagine right clicking a faction module or a link to one and clicking "view contracts" next to the "view market option," instead of having to open contracts, retype, search , etc.

It would be a great improvement, and a very simple one. most important, it would make spending Isk much easier, and overall UI much smoother and more consistent. Plus, the amount of programming required would likely be very minimal.

Carrier Buff

Fighters

  • Buff the fighters such that they reasonable tracking and resolution to attack other fighters and subcaps.
    • Current being 0.125 rad/sec and 125m
  • Balance the damage such that Fighters fit that role.

Bombers

  • Similar to that of the Fighters except 500m or large resolution. Placing bombers in the role of anti-capitals and POS.
  • Balance the damage such that bombers can effectively hit a POS whose 30km shield is up; with more dps then sentries are capable of.
