User:Soeniss Delazur
PresentationSoeniss Delazur is a female PvP pilot of Gallente faction. She obtained her pilot license beginning of February 2007. Soeniss is the founder of Brutal Deliverance.
SkillsSoeniss is a Gallente purist, and she flies Gallente ships exclusively. The future will tell if she will attempt to expand her ability to flying ships from other factions but this plan is not in scope at all. With around 37 Mil skill points, Soeniss has acquired a decent level of skills in several areas. In the t2 area she is trained for flying Heavy Assault ships, Heavy Interdictors and Interceptors. She has no plan for learning how to fly capital ships, mainly due to the fact she will probably not ever gather enough money to afford these ships and their fittings, and also because there has never been any plan of getting an alt subscription for being able to create cynosural fields.
BackgroundEarly life in NPC CorporationSoeniss started her pilot life by accepting level 1 missions in the Essence region. She eventually raised her standings after extending her social sphere, thus got access to more agents. This made her travel outside of Gallente space for the first time, out to the Metropolis region in order to run level 2 missions. The travel (a few 20 jumps) was epic in itself as the stargates looked different as well as the background space and the type of ships encountered on the way, providing the first sensation of a very large world waiting to be explored. At this time Soeniss had near to no clue about life outside PvE and Empire, although she indirectly trained her combat skills to make her feel safer in missions, which contributed greatly in the long term to shaping her as a PvP pilot. She was usually seen in her Vexor cruiser class ship fitted with unusual choices of modules due her lack of knowledge at the time. Her usual choice of weapons besides drones were a mix of blasters, artillery and beam lasers (she liked artillery the most for the damage and the sound of the battery firing). Both armor and shield tanking modules were used at the same time as well, but these imperfections got fixed as the time passed and she actually never lost her Vexor on a mission. Soeniss' first frigate class ship was a Maulus, that she used to run level 1 missions. She just purchased the most expensive frigate avilable for Gallente at the time, thinking it was reflecting he ship's combat capabilities... This being said, the Maulus is actually not a bad choice if you are a drone user.
The Spack Lords experienceEventually the project of getting together our real life friends came to birth, and Soeniss was on the edge of getting access to level 3 missions so time was up for moving again. After a short stay in the Jita area, she soon reached the Lonetrek region in Oipo to meet up with her friends. She ran missions in a Myrmidon and then moved to Isinokka to start running level 4 missions. She eventually purchased her first battleship, a Dominix, and earned cash by selling her loot in Jita. Joining the corporation made Soeniss aware about a lot of things in EVE that were not part of PvE. The Spack Lords decided that time was up to enjoy their first experience of 0.0 so we started looking for an alliance. Soeniss found one in CODE RED ALLIANCE, based out in Catch. and the whole corporation eventually moved down. At this time Soeniss had 1.2 Bil in cash, 4 battleships and a lot of smaller ships, although she couldn’t fly anything t2 yet except assault frigates. Soeniss lived in a system called X4-WL0 in Catch where we got allowed to put up a POS (medium, then upgraded to large) and got in contact with the tough reality of PvP and NBSI policy. First losses were given to BoB and Knights of the Southern Cross. So she started to fit PvP ships in the eventuality of a new confrontation. As the Spack Lords did not have much contact with their own alliance, we did not do much other than ratting and traveling to acquire more ships or modules. We also got into scanning complexes and deadspace areas in the local space. But this life went to a sudden end. We did not realize that CODE RED ALLIANCE were about to turn into a GBC alliance, as they were most likely spies of BoB in the IAC-Goons-TCF coalition. When they decided to move out to Querious, the standings were either bugged or badly managed and we ended blue to both BoB and IAC-Goons-TCF. So when Soeniss got tackled in a belt by an interdictor pilot from BoB, she asked in local the reason of the aggression. The BoB pilot was seeing her as red. Unfortunately the conversation was caught by pilots from the Brotherhood of the Spider alliance, which suddenly realized CODE RED ALLIANCE had betrayed them. Thus we obtained immediate red standings towards everyone in the region, were forced to defend our tower and to move to Querious in extremely hostiles circumstances. Soeniss made her way to Querious while the rest of the corporation was stuck in the FAT-6P area where the war was raging between BoB and IAC-Goons-TCF. The Spack Lords were then saved in their deadly fate by a sudden friendship with the pilots that attempted to take down the POS, and we eventually joined the Brotherhood of Steel alliance, part of the IAC-Goons-TCF coalition. The POS remained alive although it had been severely wounded several times. This put Soeniss into a difficult situation as she was from that point in very red territory in Querious and had to fly back to Catch. When she arrived we were told that IAC had gained control over several systems in Querious thanks to the war getting to the advantage of the coalition, so Soeniss had to move again! After some time of uncertainty we started to live in Z-UZZN, and in many aspects Soeniss’ life awakened for real. PvP came to her naturally as the area was still swarming of hostiles; many from the GBC due to the proximity of Delve, but also AAA coming to have fun hunting ratters and challenging our best PvP pilots. Soeniss participated to a lot of PvP operations and roaming gangs for the defense of the alliance’s space. A few incursions into Delve and low sec Amarr space took place. The Brotherhood of Steel alliance was a much better place to live in thanks to a high communication between members, which resulted in Soeniss making friend with several non-corp pilots, like Anyn, Alex Keys, and Slik. Soeniss started to step up for organized defense gangs as well as Slik and became alliance fleet commander on trial. She also unlocked heavy assault ships and started to fly those. Soeniss was particularly impressed and inspired by the IRON fleet commanders which led a couple of gangs in the region, leading to great fun and many kills. Unfortunately this experience took a sudden end when Goonswarm failed to take control of NOL- in Delve, which sealed the fate of the war between the two parts, so the coalition eventually started to pull back and BoB was seen again roaming in very large gangs in Querious. They finally arrived at our gates and we knew they would destroy us without the help of our friends. We then got backstabbed by Vanguard alliance, keepers of the Empire gate to our area that turned into neutrals and limited greatly our logistics. Despite the help of IAC alone, Brotherhood of Steel stood a last fight to defend its outposts and then disbanded. The Spack Lords decided they would be joining IAC like many other corporations, mainly due to our knowledge of the area and our past partnership with them, but was denied access due to lack of numbers.
Knights of RYCHESo we joined a leaving corporation known as Knights of RYCHE which we had contacts with and PvP experience. We headed back to Catch, with FAT- as a base. Times were very difficult for Soeniss because of all this moving around and the feeling that all good things were lost when joining the enormous alliance that IAC was. She started feeling insignificant, forced to join up for daily mandatory operations that were not particularly leading to anything, or docking up and log. Tension was high due to BoB incoming. Most of her friends outside the Spack Lords had left to other horizons, which contributed to Soeniss leaving Catch for good. Also, Knights of RYCHE were not based in the same area as we former Spack Lords and they had plans for getting a tower in Providence, so Soeniss just did not feel ready to be part of their obscure plans.
Noir. and the mercenaries of TNTAfter Soeniss left 0.0 for Empire with all her remaining assets, she started looking for another home, and eventually joined a corporation called Noir, part of the Trinity Nova alliance. This was a pure mercenary corporation, well known in the world of EvE for their efficiency. Soeniss decided to join them for the learning experience, the laid back attitude of its members, and the possibility to do PvP anytime. Soeniss went on contracts in either Empire or 0.0. Assets denial and ship destructions were some of the most usual tasks. In the meantime, she won the internal alliance tournament which featured cruiser fights, a first award for her piloting awareness. She flew a Thorax to achieve that goal. Despite the laid back environment, friendship and learning experience on the field of PvP, Soeniss realized she couldn’t fully benefit from these for two main reasons. Firstly, she couldn’t find enough activity at the time she was on to form up gangs and fight effectively; also the war targets were not very often online at these times. This restricted greatly her results as a PvP pilot and started to break her motivation. Secondly, many operations were planned for 0.0 and/or low sec, implying the necessity to fly force recon ships, that she was not trained for. Her nano-Ishtar served her goals for quite some time but the whole enterprise was dangerous, and not giving any good results anyway. So she left.
Brutal DeliveranceSlik from Brotherhood of Steel had been in touch with Soeniss since they both left Querious, and proposed to form our own corporation with our own values and goals, which sounded like a rebirth of our exciting experience of fighting in Querious. We analyzed what would be implied by issuing such a decision and made clear that we would be working hard for obtaining influence in the EVE community. Our principal concepts were PvP, friendship, laid back attitude and experience/intelligence. Soeniss eventually founded the corporation and remained CEO for quite some time, but gave it back to Minx Smasher due to his better availability in the game, a required constraint for any CEO worth the name. Brutal Deliverance first started to run missions to accumulate assets, and although this was a required step in the growth of the corporation, Soeniss was not very active at that time due to the lack of PvP. Once we acquired several key members we started to look for a new 0.0 home and found OWN alliance. Friendship was solid within the corporation and Soeniss felt like a new experience was about to take place and eventually her motivation went up along with her activity. After we joined OWN alliance and moved down to Wicked Creek, Soeniss started to get back online often and went roaming in TCF space. She earned several good kills in the region. Then OWN alliance moved to Deklein where we currently operate. Soeniss has taken part of several roaming gangs, camps or defense gangs, and has accumulated a decent amount of kills so far. Together with her corporation mates’ own results, this has contributed to Brutal Deliverance becoming one of the most efficient PvP corporation (if not the best if we compare our numbers to the other corps in front of our results) for the months of our activity since we joined. The corporation grew up in members (17 at the time) and started to look like something. With the positive feeling that everybody was helping to make us a name, Soeniss started to look for ways to improve further how the corporation was running and how we could improve our PvP efficiency. She has started to FC again and has settled an agreement with the Chicks on Speed corporation, for a close partnership in the defense and roaming operations. However the decision was made by the other co-CEOs to leave OWN and dissolve Brutal Deliverance for joining Pilots of Honour, one of the leading corps in Axiome Empire in the GBC. The reasons behind this was us getting tired by the actions of our own alliance, the lack of PvP support from them and the playtime constraints implied by being in a smaller corporation. We left while on top of their killboard for the month. Soeniss agreed that we needed to leave our alliance but was opposed to dissolving the corporation. Unfortunately the decision was made in her absence, but since she wanted the BRUT members to stay together, she followed the flow down to Aridia/Delve.
Pilots of HonourSoeniss' experience with the Pilots of Honour was non-existant. BoB was already being kicked out of Delve by GoonSwarm and the so-hoped roaming gangs turned into a giant blob war in Delve, since PH was part of Axiome Empire in the GBC. Soeniss hated it, as much as she disliked the POS take down operations, and was close to leave at this point. However hope went back when Pilots of Honour announced the creation of their own alliance, Aeternus. With this Soeniss hoped we would be living in a self-dependant entity gathering some good PvP expertise. It turned out all BoB/Kenzoku allies were napped on day one, crippling the concept of self-standing alliance that Soeniss had hoped for. Along with this, the hate of the Goons and veneration of Kenzoku annoyed Soeniss so she eventually left the corporation.
Interstellar Brotherhood of GravediggersSoeniss joined the Privateers alliance, willing to explore what she had seemed to be escaping for a long time: fun in EvE. 0.0 life is too much of a constraint and Empire wars are so much appealing without the need to move constantly like when in Noir. She is currently in the Interstellar Brotherhood of GraveDiggers corporation, griefing war targets in the Amarr Empire.
