Mark (Pilot's license name: Mark726) is an explorer for Project Compass [PCOMP].

Mark is primarily known for his work cataloging all known landmarks around New Eden, available at EVE Travel. He can be found throughout the cluster, traveling in one of his many ships finding sites throughout New Eden to next report about, or tracking down anomalies near his main port of call. He also has been known to help repair and reinforce ships repelling the recent Sansha invasions in his Basilisk-class logistics cruiser "Crux Rubea".

Mark has recently become involved in Hilen Tukoss's Arek'Jaalan project. He has taken an interest in Arek'Jaalan's Multidisciplinary, Talocan History and Sleeper History Divisions. He is a project lead for Project Compass, under the Multidisciplinary division.

Political Affiliations

Mark has long been a strong supporter of his native nation, the Gallente Federation. As such, his views tend to mesh with Gallente foreign policy, often looking kindly (if a bit paternalistically) on the Minmatar Republic, while disagreeing with the Caldari State and Amarr Empire.

Education and Training

Mark enrolled in and graduated from the Center for Advanced Studies in Clellinon, Verge Vendor.

Corporate Career

Federation Navy

Mark worked for approximately a year after graduation for the Federation Navy, based primarily out of Aunia. During his work with the Navy, he rapidly gained favor with the Navy and the Federation at large.

Other Corporations

Throughout his time as a capsuleer, Mark joined Thousands Sons Chaos Marine Legion twice as well as Demonic Inquisition Enterprises, both run by friends of Mark. However, always a loner, his cooperation with his adopted corporations was always only what was necessary. Both of those corporations are now closed.

Next, Mark joined Inquest [I-Q]. Here, too, however, he often did not appear in many corporation-based activities or operations, preferring to operate on his own. However, he has been known to assist capsuleer operations repelling the Sansha invasions occurring throughout the cluster. He normally participates by flying a logistics ship in shield-based fleets.

Current Career

EVE Travel

Two years after first entering the capsule, Mark began EVE Travel. Originally starting as a hobby for Mark, it quickly grew into more of an occupation. In endeavoring to catalog all known notable places throughout the cluster, Mark quickly grew intrigued with the history of the cluster, dating back to the Dark Ages through the modern era. As a byproduct of his research, he can be regarded something of an expert of most major events, as long, of course, as they're evidenced by a landmark. He's very interested as well in learning how the different events of New Eden fit together in the larger tapestry of the Cluster. EVE Travel is updated weekly with new sites that he has explored.

Arek'Jaalan Participation

In July YC 113, Hillen Tuross formed Arek'Jaalan, dedicated to uncovering a number of mysteries of the Cluster. Mark quickly joined up, and has joined the Talocan History, Sleeper History, and Multidisciplinary teams.

During his time on the Multidisciplinary Division, he has spent the majority of his time working on Project Compass, an attempt to locate Wormhole Space in relation to New Eden. While a preliminary report has been published, he has begun a re-purposed Project Compass and is in the process of collected data once again.
