Corporate Background

In April 20, 2004, A small group of friends created the corporation of Universailis Imperium. It's CEO was Squall Derringer, with co-founding directors Matthew Homoris and J0ANA. The corp went through a small recruitment phase where it gained nearly 20 active players. UVIM conducted mostly Empire mining operations and belt hunting in low security space with the occasional forte into low security space for mining. After a good year or so, the corporation stagnated and soon became a private corp for just the original three friends. A year or so after that the CEO left for a 0.0 corporation and the other two remaining directors quite Eve (temporarily). The corp went to ground with a handful of unused alts. In 2007 an alt of Squall, Akima Jarka (now that players main) joined the corp as CEO to use as a private one man corp. A few months later the same group of friends that first joined the corp as directors re-joined. In Fall of 2008 several other friends joined the corp, bringing the total number of active members to seven. It was then decided that the corp would become an active public corp and started recruitment in late 2008.

From then until early 2010 UVIM have been in several 0.0 Alliances including Stargate Experiment 626, OWN Alliance, Raining Doom, and Tactical Narcotics Team. Spring of 2010 UVIM left TNT and 0.0 space to give its leaders more real life time. Most of the active PvP members were given over to the care of ALTZ, the leading corp in TNT. The remaining corp members set up shop in a couple C4 WH's to make a isk.

In September 2010 UVIM once again joined Tactical Narcotics Team (TNT).

Corporate Overview

While we understand that our players have lives out side of Eve, we expect our members to participate in PvP, even if that is not their main function. We do not tolerate "freeloaders" who join a 0.0 corp to rat and not PvP. With that said, we're pretty relaxed, enjoy a good joke, and a good time. We are somewhat unique in that all of the leadership of the corp knows each other in RL. The CEO, Akima Jarka, knows all directors in the corp and many of the directors know each other as well. This drastically reduces the possibility of a director level corp theft.

We have 3 levels of membership:

Top Level: CEO and Board of Admirals This is group controls the overall goals and direction of the corp. Any one of them can make corp level decisions at any time.

Middle Level: Department Leaders This group runs the day to day operations of the corp. Mining, PvP, industry, etc. A Department Leader will employ several members and captains to help complete projects/fleets

Low Level: Members and Captains This is the meat of our corp. Captains are members who have show themselves to be trustful and worthy of reward.

Operations includes: PvP in 0.0 space. Roams, system defense, and fleet fights. 0.0 ratting and mining.

Public Relations: Akima Jarka, Squall D'Lyes

UVIM is back in 0.0 as of September 2010. We are actively recruiting and conducting 0.0 PvP ops.
