History

Demon Theory, A Rebirth

During the Drone Wars in the North at the start of 2011, many members of the corporation Varion Galactic began to grow tired of the Northern Coalition's inability to protect and defend their home regions. With enemy supercap blobs ravaging Northern Fleets, infighting compromising the integrity of the coalition and an overwhelming sense of boredom with the lack of subcap pvp; some members decided it was time to begin a new era.

After a short hiatus in highsec with the merc corp NOIR, Receg decided to go back to wormholes after discussing it with then Varion Galactic corpmate, Dominca Hellsing. The plan was to find a quiet class 4 wormhole from which to base small gang pvp and lowsec pirate operations from, whilst supplying the few members of the corp with the isk needed for most operations. The only problem was acquiring a corporation with a good name and a solid background. Demon Theory CEO, Deep Star6, along with Varions, Receg and Dominca Hellsing, reformed Demon Theory with the intention of a new path, the World of Wormholes.

From the start, things were looking bright for the newly reformed pirate corp; C4 sites were tackled with rr bs gangs, a feat no one in corp had accomplished prior to joining devth, lowsec roams happened on a weekly basis and wormhole ganks and pos sieges/ransoms were a frequent event. But like all things, nothing lasts forever.

Wormhole space is a dangerous place to those on the outside looking in, and doubly so to any wormhole corp or alliance living on the inside. With the constant fear of being sieged by a larger more powerful wormhole entity and participation of the original group of 6 corpmates slowly dwindling off with RL issues, Receg and Deep Star6 decided it was time to expand the corporation, even against Dominca Hellsings' wishes.

Recruitment started in mid-march and gained speed at an alarming rate. By mid-April, Demon Theory was up to 49 members, 22 active at peak hours on a daily basis; a rare thing for any c4 wormhole corporation. But along with the new members came an expected but fast growing concern: home C4 resources were disappearing at an alarmingly fast rate, the static c3 wouldn't be able to supply a 12 man gang for very long, and a sense that the walls were closing in began to set in. It was time to move. Demon Theory set its sights on a vanilla class 5.

This is a Robbery

After a haphazard move into a Class 5 wormhole, Demon Theory began to progress into the ranks of promising wormhole corporations. Pilots began to understand the lifestyle the C5 afforded and were forced to adapt quickly to their new home. Demon Theory began to experience conflict, extending up as far as to the director level. Some of the members, including directors and new members alike, began having issues with former director, Dominca "Dooster" Hellsing.

During the early hours of May 26th, members The B3ast and HitUrGspot robbed every hanger they had access to, the reason being that they had become aggravated with the way Dominica was removed from the corporation. With the assistance of Amcal and Infernos Liberatum, Beast and Gspot made off with four billion isk worth of assets. After the theft Receg tried to stop the two thieves; removing roles immediatly and cutting off comms access to all involved. They soon left the alliance and went their own way.

A Tragic Era

After the infamous "Four Bil OMGWTFPWN Robbery," Receg felt it was time to boost corp morale and show the Demons that everything was going to be fine, forming Tragedy(dot) <DRAMA> as a way to show the membership that nothing had stopped them and they would continue to flourish regardless of the recent adversity. To further prove that the new alliance was strong and the corp had rebounded, a wormhole takeover was executed.

The target system of J104754 was chosen after the negligence of the current residents and consequent off-lining of their pos resulted in the theft of a Chimera by Tragedy(dot) members. Over the course of one week, Tragedy(DOT), with help from members of Varion Finacial, Varion Galactic, and Elite UnderWorld Special Forces, sieged and destroyed every pos and killed every hostile (Fade 2 Black) in system, coming out of the wormhole with an efficiency of 100%. With the intent to share their drama with New Eden, Tragedy(dot) was born.

The Varion Connection

Shortly after the formation of Tragedy(dot), Deep Star6, Receg, Proclus Diadochu, and Riseoffilth began discussing bringing their brother corporations together and further increasing the drama. With the downfall of the Northern Coalition and the near collapse of OWN Alliance, Riseoffilth moved Varion Galactic into Tragedy(dot) and the chaos ensued.

I accidently the alliance

In the early hours of october 29th, 2011, Receg disbanded the alliance due to internal conflict. This occurred shortly after the pvp corporation, Obstergo, had decided to quit the alliance, killing Varion CEO Riseoffilth in his noctis (full of sleeper loot none the less) on their way out. They did it as a way to show their hatred towards the carebear surge which had been steadily growing within tragedy for many months; members would rather log in to kill sleepers, and log off/go afk at the sound of pvp. The alliance was subsequently disbanded as a way to purge those who had strayed from the original tragedy motto, "We are wormhole pvp'rs, bringing drama and tragedy to whatever wormhole we invade."

Re-Boot

Shortly after the purge, Varion and SKS were allowed back in. Soon after, receg went on hiatus from EVE, prompting RiseofFilth to take over the alliance while Receg was MIA. Since the exchange of leadership over to RiseofFilth/Varion Galactic, some new changes were made. The original executor and founding corp of Tragedy, South of the Border, was kicked out. And soon after, two new corps were added to the Tragedy roster: The Black Lion Brigade and S.N.P.N.N.
