Tim

Tim is a missionary who travels dangerous areas in search of new converts.

Association with Liandra

He was in low-sec areas giving seminars to the locals in an attempt to convert them, though he met with little luck. While there, he met a woman named Liandra, who turned out to be a kill agent. After being rebuked by her friend, Liandra met him privately and the two began a relationship. Tim fell in love with her, but ultimately he found her heart too hard and impossible to penetrate, while she viewed him as unmotivated. The two broke up, leaving Tim heartbroken.

Meeting with Brater

While sitting in a waiting lounge on a station, Tim met Brater, and the two conversed. Tim told his story of heartbreak and Brater told how his wife had been recently killed. Tim expressed his remorse and embarrassment at his lesser pain, but Brater told him there was no such thing as lesser heartbreak. Brater then explained he had an illegally modified ocular implant that showed him the “invisible waves” of space, and revealed his near-suicidal plans to travel into dangerous low-sec space on board a courier ship, well aware of the potential dangers.
