Formed mid-2007 by former Black Rabbits CEO Naphtalia, The Gurlstas Associates are a Gurista role playing alliance. Originally the alliance was composed only of The Black Rabbits, it's Academy, and Genos Occidere. The status quo was kept throughout most of 2008, till in September faced with internal problems relating to The Academy and Rabbits, Naphtalia suddenly went missing. During the months afterwards the Gurlstats Associates suffered through a lack of clear leadership and vision. However in late 2008 Gilgamesh1980, then a member of The Black Rabbits, was promoted to CEO and executor of both The Black Rabbits and The Gurlstas Associates. Gilgamesh began sweeping restructuring and re-orientating of the alliances goals and ultimately it's vision. The Gurlstas Associates began taking on many new pirate corporations under the Guristas flag, the earliest being Mob Thought.

Since Gilgamesh was made CEO, TGA has lived in many areas. At first the idea of having TGA become a 'nomadic' alliance, that is moving into an area, harassing the residents for a few months and then moving on, was attempted. However, due to the relatively large size of the alliance, and lack of enthusiasm after the first few moves, the idea was largely abandoned. TGA now resides in The Citadel region, bordered by two regions held sovereign by the Caldari State. Before The Citadel, TGA lived for a period of time in Syndicate space. Soon after, TGA moved to Sinq Laison along with Veto, close allies to TGA. After having spent months in Sinq Laison, TGA moved with Veto to it's currently occupied region.

Though the alliance is no longer considered 'nomadic', it is still known to embark on various long distance raids of other regions from time to time, it's most recent being an operation in the Khanid region.
