Talk:Exploration guideThe probing guide duplicates every information already present here. Personally feel it could be nuked.--Morscerta 11:19, 17 January 2009 (UTC) Merging with ProbingI found this lonely uncategorized article (Probing) and it looks like it should be merged with this guide. I'll leave it up to the people making changes to this page to decide if anything needs to be merged. If not, I'll just nuke the probing page. --ISD Salpsan 11:06, 12 January 2009 (UTC) I agree with the merge and especially that we should include a introduction at the beginning differentiating between scanning for ships with directional scanner, scanning for Cosmic Anomalies using the on-board scanner, recon probe scanning, moon probing and the real exploration. Lets see when somebody else or myself find time for it. --Morscerta 15:13, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
As being the launcher, is it really the scan time, maybe it should be launch time? Fix it to make it clearer.
I wanted to add a guide with the actual dungeon missions for the 0.0 Guristas and their escalting paths e.g. Gurista Base escalting into CONSEQUENSES SMONSEQUENCES and the three DED complexes found in this region (DED6/10, DED8/10, DED10/10). I was wondering which part of the Exploration Guide these would fit best into. MajorScrewup This guide needs some serious update and corrections. First it needs to be made clear that Exploration contains two major aspects. One is finding Cosmic Anomalities (Factional Warfare sites included) which at basic require no skills trained and only the use of the on-board scanner, the other aspect is finding Cosmic Signatures which requires probes and minimal skills. Also, the list of objects to scan for is horrible wrong. You can not scan for wrecks and never have been able to. I might do these changes my self later on when I have figured out how to do it. EDIT: There is a third and fourth aspect too. One is to using the Recon Probe Launcher and the associated probes to hunt down other player ships, and the other is probing moons for minerals. --Jowen Datloran 17:49, 14 December 2008 (UTC) Skills should really reflect reality. While it is true that the bare minimum to use a scan probe launcher and multispec probe is Astrometrics I, realistic requirements are Astrometrics 4, and Signal Aquisition I (which is mentioned, but should be listed as a requirement). I also think we dont need to list every prereq for every skill. THat just adds clutter. People can click the link to see prereqs on their own.--Jonathan Calvert 12:57, 20 December 2008 (UTC) ArchaeologicalI think Archaeological sites (of which in this article it is spelled wrong in all instances) should be changed to ArcSal sites as this is the correct name for these type of sites. Archaeological gives the impression of the one skill set, while these sites are a combination of two Archaeology and Salvaging MajorScrewup 13:44, 13 January 2009 (UTC) Archaeology in general could do with a lot of clarification. Is it even used in wormholes? I've been using only a codebreaker and salvager thus far in low-sec and wormhole space. Is it COSMOS only? Marconi Bandr 3-26-2009 NC violation'Guide' part has no value. Neither it is accurate and its written in caps. There is no point for the 'guide' part and it is in caps. BlackSmith Sisunautti 22:08, 10 March 2009 (UTC) Changed the name according to naming convention. The guide stills needs to be merged. --ISD Elumiel 18:06, 13 March 2009 (UTC) Top Contributors For This Page |
