Talk:Alliance logo submission process

This page contradicts itself with some old copypasta stuff. Needs looking at.

   * Corp name, images, highlights, and effects must be on separate layers.

and

   * The bottom layer should always be empty, i.e. transparent, with the second layer above being the flattened version of the icon itself.
   * Do not include unnecessary layers. Those might in turn skew the final results. Keep the layer count only at two, and those two are described in point above.
   * Do not have blending properties on the layers or effects that are Photoshop dependent. Keep the image as flat as you can to ensure that the alliance's vision makes it into the client.

Yes, this logo submission process has been contradicting for about a year and a half or so now.

I started a thread about 7 months back but the process or the information did not improve much after it but CCP Zymurgist gives a little insight:

http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1313794&page=1

The process CCP has for this doesn't seem to be nailed down and as a result I think a lot of alliance logos are "forgotten" because the devs are busy with other stuff.

My own alliance has been trying to get a logo in-game for almost a year now with no results or any indication of where it stands.
