Description

SFOPS is a Minmatar-based corporation, with aspirations to gain recognition as an individual, self governed tribe. As the roots of SFOPS are very much steeped in the Minmatar heritage, it is of course open to all Minmatar. The corporation is also open to any member of the Gallente nation who happen to find our way of life more supportive and embracing than the individualistic tenets of the Federation. They have also been known to accept the odd Caldari.

History

Originally conceived against the backdrop of the old, Gallente influenced 'Republic,' SFOPS was set up with the goal of promoting a new, more organic and indigineous form of government, one that draws upon the tribal heritage of the Matari nation and forms a structure more at ease with the de-centralised, family-centric lifestyle of the pre-enslavement Minmatar people. After a few short weeks, their call for the return to Minmatar-style governance was met by San Matar Shakor, and relations with the Republic were stabilized.

Today

Recent developments have shown links to a little known sub-tribe known as the Annwn Matar, however, the ultimate goal remains the same, to create an independent nation, a new tribe, that exists within its own rules of governance. It was always the intention that this nation would co-exist with the Republic, maintaining a vital link with the rest of the Minmatar race. The recent reforms of the Republic's government has made this even more feasible, the new open border policy of the Republic and the Thukker tribe intimates at exciting prospects for an even closer relationship with the Republic.

Structure

Roles are divided by responsibilities, not by power. All roles can be conferred or removed by Tribal consensus.

TREE OF THE OAK MOSS

Raven Branch - The Tribe's Counsellors and Conflict Resolution Panel. Raven's job is to ensure the smooth functioning of the tribe by dealing with any conflicts between members. It is also their responsibility to ensure that dissenting opinions and concerns are voiced and dealt with.

Owl Branch - These are the Administrators of the Tribe. Responsible for the day to day operations of the Tribe.

Starling Branch - New Members, awaiting full access to the tribe.

TREE OF THE DRAGON'S BLOOD

The Tribe's combat wing. Made up of Wolf, Wolverine, and Scorpion branches.

TREE OF THE LOTUS

The Tribe's industrial wing, consisting of Wyrm, Spyder, and Wasp branches.

This 'chain of command' defines clearly who to go to with a matter that needs attention. In combat operations the orders of the Fleet Commander will be performed by anyone without any question or hesitation, even if the FC does not 'outrank' the specific fleet member.
