Sepherim (Character)
LifeBorn inside a space hauler more than twenty years ago, Sepherim has always lived among slaves because his father was a slave trader. A harsh infancy due to strong problems with his brothers led to a failed assassination attempt by them. Saved by a mysterious man named Demiurge, he was guided to Hedion University, where in time he became a pilot. Soon after graduation, a strange set of forces gathered around him, a result of which was the creation of the Ordo Quaesitoris and the beginning of his controversial duty to the Empire. A year afterwards, he almost lost his life permanently when he and a group of his men suffered a Jump Gate accident while exiting Amarr Prime. They vanished and never seemed to reach the other side. Sepherim reappeared almost a month later in Mimen, with his ship almost completely destroyed. He spent two weeks in a comma and lost one of his legs, replacing it with a cybernetic substitute. During a time he could not remember at all what happened, and he still doesn't fully remember now. Since his recovery, he turned his efforts fully into rebuilding the Ordo from the previous losses and aligning it so it would be able to fight the coming trials. The strongest of which was the declaration of the war after the Minmatarr assault, which led him to the frontlines, both as a pilot and as a fleet commander for the Imperial Crusade. But life takes unexpected turns sometimes and, for unknown reasons, the Ministry of Internal Order has detained him under accusations of espionage, treason and heresy. Judge Wolsey Kador has judged those accusations and found him guilty for them. as a sentence, he was sent to the Holy Seminar of Zorast, where he took the Oath of Penitence. As such, he is under the service of Bishop Coralien and the Theology Council, as well as a member of the Ordo Quaesitoris. DutySepherim has participated in many different campaigns, both military and not. He was a diplomat between the warrying factions of the Miyan and Darabi Holder Houses. He was a warrior during the defense of the Bleak Lands against both assaults by the Defiants. He was a protector during the defense of Brother Joshua of the Speakers of Truths. And he has been a negotiator all along, putting people in contact one with another, and having relations with all kinds of pilots. These relations have earned him the suspicion of many, and even some calls for heresy. He has been known to relate to loyalist pilots, but also heretics, pirates, and traitors. Even the well known Blood Raider Revan Neferis granted him a couple rings on two different occasions, drawing the suspicions of many. Which is not improved at all by the fact that he doesn't speak much of his work inside the Ordo Quaesitoris. Beyond those known campaigns of the Ordo, its other duties remain silent and hidden. Physical AppearancePhysically, Sepherim is a tall and slender man, with a fragile constitution and long arms and legs; a high level in "exocity", as specialists have called the effects of a long time life in space, usually shown in those who have been born or have past their childhoods in space. Still, this last months seem to have taken all the little fat he had in him, and now he looks even more fragile and weak. His hair is cut short, and his ice-like eyes still seem sometimes to stare deeply into all he has in front, as if he was trying to analyze or pierce through it, though most of the time they are almost lifeless; his expression, as a whole, is quite hard, a result of the many things he has seen in his years both as a pod pilot and outside that. RetirementIn early EST 112 Sepherim announced his departure from the capsuleer stage to follow a more humble and earthly existence while living out the remainder of his years in a monastery to be constructed on the planet Mabnen I. It seems fitting to many that he picked the planet which holds the Emperor Family station that had been his headquarters for a long time in it's orbit. Some, however, don't believe that he has truly retired, but rather has found a convenient cover to continue his scheming while the world believes he has disappeared. No one has been able to verify these suspicions so far. Though after Sepherim had his pod-implants removed he can no longer be reached through his neocom, his complete diaries are still available and can be read here. LegacyWhat started out as a small corporation with only a few pilots had grown into an alliance with a long history. At it's height it was home to multiple corporations and even had an external crusade branch. Even though the organization has waned since then, the Ordo has left it's mark on it's former members, many of whom became prominent in the Amarrian loyalist community.
