Photo Scavenger Hunt Competition brought to you by The Scope

Braving scorching lasers to bring you up-to-the-minute reports from the battlefield, the members of The Scope have earned the right to call themselves the elite of New Eden’s journalists.

Now you will be given the same opportunity in our Photo Scavenger Hunt at Fanfest 2008. Working in teams of four, you will take photographs to depict common EVE sayings. At stake are some nifty prizes, including game time and signed art prints. (See the full list of prizes below.)

You’ll most likely have your camera at the ready on the off-chance you’ll get a glimpse of the Black Monolith, so why not take advantage of the opportunity to score yourself some cool loot while you’re at it?

How does the competition work?

1. Each team will consist of four Fanfest attendees. Teams will select a captain to represent them at the registration booth. Upon registering, the team captain will receive the rules and caption list. The competition is limited to 25 teams. Sign up early so you don’t miss out.
2. Entries will be submitted as three photos, each representing one of the captions provided.
3. Only pictures taken during Fanfest will be acceptable. No getting a head start.
4. Judging will be based on which team’s set of photos best represent the captions with relevance, humor and creativity.
5. Photos will be transferred by CCP staff via a USB flash drive (available at the registration booth). It is each team’s responsibility to transfer photos from cameras or phones to a laptop in order for us to grab the images.

Prizes

Each member of the winning team will receive the following:

• First place: One month of free EVE Online game time, one t-shirt (winner’s choice), one EVE keyring (winner’s choice) and one signed concept art print.
• Second place: One month of free EVE Online game time, one t-shirt (winner’s choice) and one EVE keyring (winner’s choice).
• Third place: One month of free EVE Online game time and one EVE keyring (winner’s choice).
