Rogue Drone Materials & Components Analysis
Rogue Drone AlloysCollected here is our analysis of all of the various Alloys recovered from Rogue Drone wrecks, detailing their composition, observed applications and theorised uses.
Condensed AlloyThis Condensed Alloy is made up from on average a blend of 76% Tritanium, 19% Pyerite and 5% Mexallon which results in an Alloy that is a very dense metal yet still very pliable. It is great conductor of energy, and as such it is very common and can be found throughout Rogue Drones inside their A.I. Cores, their Reactors and many of their power conduits. This Alloy is the basic building material for all Rogue Drones designed by Hive Mothers and the structures they build. When 1 m3 of this Alloy is reprocessed and refined you can recover 160 units of Tritanium, 40 units of Pyerite and 10 units of Mexallon.
Gleaming AlloyThis Gleaming Alloy is made up from on average a blend of 99.3% Tritanium and 0.7% Nocxium which results in an Alloy that is a very dense metal yet still very pliable that is used in the armour of Rogue Drones and as such it is found primarily on the outside of Rogue Drones and inside A.I. Cores, where this Alloy has been observed encasing the networked processors in the A.I. Cores to protect them from any damage. When 1 m3 of this Compound is reprocessed and refined you can recover 768 units of Tritanium and 3 units of Nocxium.
Lustering AlloyThis Lustering Alloy is made up from on average a blend of 75% Mexallon, 19% Isogen, 5% Nocxium and 1% Zydrine which results in an Alloy that is used primarily in the construction of Rogue Drone Reactors and Engines due to its enhanced ability to withstand extreme temperatures and pressures. When 1 m3 of this Compound is reprocessed and refined you can recover 192 units of Mexallon, 48 units of Isogen, 12 units of Nocxium and 3 units of Zydrine.
Precious AlloyThis Precious Alloy is made up from on average a blend of 94% Pyerite and 6% Isogen which results in an Alloy that is used mainly in the construction of Rogue Drone weapon systems, such as particle beams and missiles, it is theorised that this is down to the Alloys ability to act as a form of superconductor allowing huge amounts of power to be channeled with maximum possible efficiency which results in longer ranged missiles and harder hitting particle beams. When 1 m3 of this Compound is reprocessed and refined you can recover 128 units of Pyerite and 8 units of Isogen.

Crystal CompoundThis Crystal Compound is made up from on average a blend of 80% Mexallon and 20% Isogen which results in a Compound that has a great many uses in the fields of electronics and in being able to focus and intensify energy waves. This Compound has been found in many Rogue Drone systems, such as Weapons, Solar Energy Collectors and A.I. Cores. When 1 m3 of this Compound is reprocessed and refined you can recover 24 units of Mexallon and 6 units of Isogen.
Dark CompoundThis Dark Compound is made up from on average a blend of 77% Isogen and 23% Nocxium which results in a Compound that has many unique attributes when used in electronics, the primary one being that it is a Superconductive material and as such it is found throughout the Rogue Drones A.I. Cores where it increases their energy efficiency to levels undreamed of in current Empire Drone technology. This Compound is also found commonly in energy conduits of Rogue Drones designed by Hive mothers where it increases performance immensely. When 1 m3 of this Compound is reprocessed and refined you can recover 23 units of Isogen and 8 units of Nocxium.
Glossy CompoundThis Glossy Compound is made up from on average a blend of 94% Mexallon, 6% Nocxium and 1% Megacyte which results in a Compound that is had a powerfull explosive potential yet is remarkably stable until it is armed for firing. Due to this property it is commonly found inside many types of Rogue Drone munitions, such as Shells, Charges and Missiles. When 1 m3 of this Compound is reprocessed and refined you can recover 384 units of Mexallon, 24 units of Nocxium and 1 units of Megacyte.
Lucent CompoundThis Lucent Compound is made up from on average a blend of 75% Pyerite, 19% Mexallon, 5% Isogen, and 1% Nocxium which results in a Compound that is perfect for creating Rogue Drone A.I. Processing Cores as it has strange bio-chemical properties which are little understood at this time but allows the A.I. Cores to function in a much more organic way, which most strains of Rogue Drones seem to be trying to emulate in their overall design and evolution. When 1 m3 of this Compound is reprocessed and refined you can recover 192 units of Pyerite, 48 units of Mexallon, 12 units of Isogen and 3 units of Nocxium
Motley CompoundThis Motley Compound is made up from on average a blend of 80% Isogen and 20% Nocxium which results in a Compound that is perfect for creating Rogue Drone A.I. electronics as it is a great electrical conductor which allows the A.I. Cores of Rogue Drone design to function at much faster speeds, require far less power then First Generation Rogue Drone Cores and be able to handle far many more parallel processes then would be possible without the use of this Compound in the construction of the A.I. Cores. When 1 m3 of this Compound is reprocessed and refined you can recover 40 units of Isogen and 10 units of Nocxium.
Opulent CompoundThis Opulent Compound is made up from 100% Morphite which is refined using a unknown technique to form this unique Compound, which when blended with other Rogue Drone Compounds enhances their performance and durability many times over. This astounding quality makes this the material valuable in many of the Rogue Drones systems, it is especially more common in Rogue Drones designed by Hive Mothers. When 1 m3 of this Compound is reprocessed and refined you can recover 2 units of Morphite.
Plush CompoundThis Plush Compound is made up from on average a blend of 78% Tritanium, 19.7% Pyerite, 1.3% Isogen and 1% Zydrine which results in a Compound that is used primarily for reinforcing structural supports in Rogue Drones, Hives and all other structures of Rogue Drone design. This Compound is also found extensively in Rogue Drones that possess an organic appearance, this is believed to be due to this Compounds very malleable nature, which when combined with its high strength makes for a great material for the construction of Rogue Drones. When 1 m3 of this Compound is reprocessed and refined you can recover 4096 units of Tritanium, 1024 units of Pyerite, 64 units of Isogen and 4 units of Zydrine.
Sheen CompoundThis Sheen Compound is made up from on average a blend of 79% Tritanium, 19.6% Pyerite, 1.2% Isogen and 0.2% Nocxium which results in a Compound that has many unique effects on all types of reactions, the most notable of which is its apparent effectiveness as a catalyst when applied to the linings of Reactor Cores which has the effect of increasing both the strength of the reaction and their duration. When 1 m3 of this Compound is reprocessed and refined you can recover 512 units of Tritanium, 128 units of Pyerite, 8 units of Isogen and 2 unit of Nocxium.
Rogue Drone ComponentsCollected here are our analysis of all recovered Rogue Drone Components, detailing their composition, purpose and performance. These Components only seem to be integrated into Third Generation Rogue Drones (classified as 'Sentient' Drones on Capsuleer ship Overviews) and upwards. As is already well known these various components can be modified to be compatible with Empire Drones and when integrated they augment the performance of the Empire Drones by a significant margin.
Drone Capillary FluidThis substance is a highly viscous fluid which is an amalgamation of various Chemical and Rogue Drone Compounds that form an electrolyte solution that has an extremely high electrical charge capacity and is saturated with Nanites, this fluid is akin to the life blood flowing through the relays of Third Generation Rogue Drones. To take the blood analogy further it is possible to think of the electrolyte solution functioning as Red Blood Cells, carrying Power and Compounds from the Reactors to all the other systems before returning to the Reactors to be replenished before cycling around the system again. The Nanites function as the White blood Cells, flowing through the electrolyte solution, they constantly watch for any signs of damage and when any is detected they swarm the site and effect any repairs necessary using the Rogue Drone Compounds carried alongside them in the electrolyte solution. This technique is similar to the system employed in Capsuleer ships Energy Grids, as it ensures that the power plant and its distribution network are the first thing to be repaired and the very last thing to fail in the event of catastrophic event. When this fluid is used with Rogue Drone Synaptic Relays it allows for an astonishingly high data flow to take place inside the A.I. Core, this is due to a network effect taking place between the Nanites and the Core. As the Nanites pass through the Synaptic Relays they share 50% of their own processing power with the A.I. Core, in effecting acting as a neural booster to increase overall performance.
Drone Cerebral FragmentAnalysis of this Cerebral Fragment indicates that Third Generation Rogue Drone A.I. Cores are using high level quantum computing for their central processing units, the benefits of which are well documented elsewhere[1]. These Drone Cerebral Fragment's are made from a combination of Gleaming Alloy, Motley Compound and Opulent Compound. We have discovered that quantum entanglement[2] is also present inside these Cores which we have theorised is used to decentralise the computer system so they are highly resistant to damage as the same functions are being carried out simultaneously by multiple processors in different locations so that when the Core suffers damage there is no interruption to any ongoing processes running inside the Cores. We suspect that various forms of this technology is widespread amongst Second Generation Rogue Drones and that it is used in many different applications within the Hive Hierarchy, unfortunately further analysis is restricted by only having access to Cerebral Fragments at this time (it is heavily suspected that some form of self-destruct is responsible for this, to keep information or technology from outside forces) and as such the acquisition of an intact Rogue Drone Cerebral Core is of great intrest.
Drone Coronary UnitThis is the Reactor of choice for Rogue Drones, being of their own design this power unit is a marvel of technology providing a greater size to power ratio than is currently achievable by Empire Reactors, due to the unique Alloys & Compounds used in its construction and operation it has not yet been possible to replicate this effect using our own technology. At its heart this Reactor is a Fusion Powered Thermoelectric Generator (constructed from a mix of Gleaming Alloy and Lustering Alloy) which produces staggering amounts of power for such a small size, this is achieved by using a combination of Rogue Drone Compounds, the Glossy Compound which is used as the basic fuel, the Sheen Compound which acts as the catalyst to begin the reactions and the Opulent Compound which is used to trigger the Fusion and magnifies its strength. This reaction is controlled using magnetic containment fields whilst power is generated by turning the intense heat directly into electrical energy using the thermoelectric effect[3]. The strength of the Fusion reaction is controlled and either increased or decreased depending on current needs of whatever it is that the Reactor is powering. In Rogue Drones these Reactors high pressure plasma is also used to provide thrust for the Rogue Drones sub-warp engines, this is achieved by siphoning the Drive Plasma directly from the Reactor through special conduits to the engines proper where it is applied in the required fashion.
Drone Epidermal Shielding ChunkAnalysis of this Epidermal Shielding Chunk indicates that Third Generation Rogue Drones and upwards possess extremely strong armour with some unique properties. While this material is both more durable and resistant to damage then standard Rogue Drone armour shielding, it is thinner (and thus has much less mass then Second Generation Rogue Drone armour giving these drones increased agility) and the armour also has much more flexibility then Second Generation Rogue Drone armour. The core of this Epidermal Shielding armour technology is derived from two other Rogue Drone systems, the first of which is the armour itself. Made up from a mixture of Gleaming Alloy, Opulent Compound and Plush Compound the physical structure of this armour plate has unique attributes. Being both an incredible dense yet light metal this material is perfect for use as armour as it can either be applied at the same thickness as the older armour resulting in a huge increase in protection or it can be applied in much thinner sheets, giving the Rogue Drone a large boost in its maneuverability whilst preserving its level of protection. The Second part of this armour system lies beneath and within the armour sheets themselves, laced throughout these Epidermal Shielding Chunk's are hundreds of Capillary Fluid Channels through which high pressure Capillary Fluid itself runs. Anyone familiar with Capillary Fluid can immediately see the huge benefit this would bring to the Epidermal Shielding, giving it a massive capacity for self-repair and very fast speeds at self-repairing.
Drone Synaptic Relay WiringThis Synaptic Relay Wiring is used within the Rogue Drone A.I. Cores to connect the quantum computing processors to the memory banks and to route the Capillary Fluid into, around and out of the A.I. Core where the relays then connect back into the central Capillary Fluid network. Made from a mixture of Dark Compound, Motley Compound and Opulent Compound these Synaptic Relay Wires have a data capacity and speed rating that far outstrips the current Empire technologies in terms of performance by a factor of almost five times. Alongside this the Wiring also shows an impressive amount of strength, by being able to channel the high pressure Capillary Fluid safely through the A.I. Core. These Synaptic Wires are also sheathed in a thin coating of the armour material used to create the physical structure for the Epidermal Shielding armour technology, this gives the Drone Synaptic Relay Wiring incredible damage resistance which when combined with the Capillary Fluid results in an extremely damage resistant piece of technology with near instantaneous self-repair ability.
Drone Tactical LimbA multipurpose Tactical Limb of a Rogue Drone design which comes in many different sizes and when used on Third Generation Rogue Drones is used to mount the primary weapon systems giving them very good fire arcs alongside excellent target tracking speeds. The modular design of these Tactical Limb allows them to be used for a huge variation of tasks when fitted with different extensions such as demolition, construction, close combat and ranged combat. Often times you will see Third Generation Rogue Drones with multiple sets of these Tactical Limb so they can perform multiple tasks at once, the most common fitting being a pair of ranged weapon arms and a pair of close combat arms for tearing into ships when they get under their guns. Constructed from Gleaming Alloy, Opulent Compound and Plush Compound these Tactical Limbs have a extreme stress tolerances which enables them to withstand the extreme forces they experience whilst in combat, either from the pressure placed on them by tearing into armour plates on targets or from the G-forces placed on them in high speed combat whilst maintaining their accurate target tracking locks. As you would expect in Third Generation Rogue Drone technology these Tactical Limbs have extensive Capillary Fluid networks running throughout them, providing both power and their self-repair capacity to them.
