Rogue Drone Asteroid Infestation

The Rogue Drone Asteroid Infestation is a Cosmic Signature of the DED Complex (rated 3/10) type, occupied by the Rogue Drones . It can be found via exploration by probing in Highsec and Lowsec systems. For location details see Pirate Faction Occupancy Chart.

The site consists of a volume of space with an acceleration gate and contains various structures and their defending drones. Using the gate allows access to other areas within the site. When attacked, the defenders may send multiple waves of reinforcements. Each group's appearance is triggered by the destruction of members of the previous group. The names and amount of ships listed may vary slightly, but will always be of Frigate class or smaller.

This site's acceleration gate allows only Cruiser class ships or lower and their Tech 2 equivalents to enter the site.

All acceleration gates are locked until all drones in the room are destroyed.

This site is easily completed in a combat frigate, as the drones in room 2 and 3 are organized into groups and can be attacked separately. The mineral containers have random contents: 1000 Tritanium, 400 Pyerite, 400 Mexallon, 400 Isogen, 100 Zydrine, or even 20 Megacyte. Ignore them if you are low on cargo space.

There is a group of four drones beside the Scratched Cask. These are all you need to kill to open the cask. You can ignore the rest.

Bounties and Rewards

Total bounty payout for the pirates in this site are approximately 210,000 ISK. The 5th Tier Overseer's Personal Effects are worth 180,000 ISK, and the 7th Tier Overseer's Personal Effects are worth 600,000 ISK. The total of these is around 990,000 ISK.
