Repackaging and repairing your ships and modules
How do I repair and repackage my ships and modules?
To sell your ships and modules on the market, you must first repackage them so the buyer can be certain of receiving his goods in perfect condition. If your item is damaged, however, you will not be able to repackage it until it has been repaired.
The procedure is as follows:
- Open the Repairshop by clicking on the corresponding icon in the station menu.
- In the repairshop window, double click on the item you wish to repair. If it's a ship, a list of modules located onboard will be displayed along with the vessel. At the bottom of the screen you can select "repair all" to repair the ship and any damaged module within it.
- Once the ship or module has been repaired you can right-click on it and select the "Repackage" option. It is then possible to place the item on the market.
- Repackaging ships will make their volume much smaller and they can be transported more easily in Industrial ships or freighters.
- If a ship has been upgraded with rig then the rig will be destroyed when the ship is repackaged. It is possible to sell upgraded ships via the contracts (Auction, Item Exchange) system without repackaging them.
- PLEASE NOTE THAT INSURANCE WILL BE CANCELED WITHOUT A REFUND AND RIGS DESTROYED WHEN A SHIP IS REPACKAGED!
