Raven Navy Issue (Fitting)
The Raven Navy Issue is the Caldari Navy's spin on the popular Raven class battleship. With an additional launcher hardpoint and substantially greater shield capacity, the Raven Navy Issue is a force to be reckoned with. It is one of the most popular ships for the completion of L4 missions. Player vs EnvironmentIn PVE activities, an active tank is often the preferred method of protecting the Navy Issue Raven from damage. It usually consists of an XL Shield Booster, a Shield Boost Amplifier and four Shield Hardeners (usually varied on a mission by mission basis depending on the damage type the enemy is known to be dealing). Raven Navy Issues often fit Capacitor Control Circuit rigs in order to boost capacitor regeneration, as active tanks can use a large amount of energy. The Navy Raven can mount, and has bonuses towards, Cruise Missile Launchers and Siege Missile Launchers, which are long range and short range platforms respectively. While Cruise Missiles have a very long range (over 250KM with high skills and rigs), they do significantly less damage than Torpedoes (upper limit of around 60KM with skills and rigs). It is possible to mount additional turrets to the Raven Navy Issue for added damage output, but the ship does not carry any bonuses for turret weaponry. The Navy Raven is somewhat unusual among the Raven variants in that it has a 100m3 drone bay, though it still has a Raven's standard 75m/bits bandwidth. This means it can carry a good selection of drones to assist in missions. Faction Fit, Pulsed Shield TankExpensive, Powerful, Deadly. This variation of the Navy Issue Raven is one of power and majesty, equipped with high end faction shield boosters and cruise missiles, giving it the power to plow through almost any level 4 mission with shocking ease. However, it is important to note that this is a very expensive fit to use, and as it is with so many other things, it is not necessarily cost effective. With an approximate cost of 900 million ISK, this is a premium setup for its purpose. A Crystal Implants Set is recommended. High Slots: Medium Slots:
Low Slots: Rig Slots: This high cost and high skill Navy Raven pulse tank fit focuses on damage dealing while still fitting a very respectable tank. A reduced (and much cheaper) version can be fit onto a standard Raven, though good fitting skills are still required. While appearing to break PVE fitting doctrine by mounting a capacitor booster, the aim is to do enough damage fast enough that its use can be kept to a minimum. Those pilots less certain of their skills or abilities might choose to replace the Signal Amplifier II with a Damage Control II High Slots: Mid Slots:
Low Slots: Rig Slots: (Originally by Liang Nuren) Player vs PlayerWith the power and majesty of the Raven Navy Issue, this vessel is a tempting addition to a fighting force. However, due to its expense, it is also a very big and tempting target. Insert good fits hereTop Contributors For This Page |
