Summary

Pilots have access to station hangars where they can keep their stuff. However, as a pilot's amount of worldy belongings increases, it becomes more difficult to keep a hangar organised and find items in the big pile of unsorted modules.

Station containers (or other containers) can be used to create some order in the chaos, but containers are opaque to the assets window and make it impossible to check if an item is perhaps located in one of your other station hangars if that item is inside a container.

In short, with an ever increasing amount of crap in your hangars it becomes harder and harder to find stuff, and the current system does not allow for proper organisation of your assets.

Solution

The problem can be solved in various ways:

• Add hangar divisions to personal hangars, similar to the divisions in corporate hangars. This will allow people to sort their items in various hangars.
• Make containers transparent for the assets window. This allows people to use station containers to sort the stuff without it being obscured from their assets overview. Containers have however the drawback that they cannot contain other containers, limiting the sorting options.
• Allow better filtering options on both the assets window and hangar (a solution similar to the overview filtering tabs has been suggested), possibly combined with one of the other solutions.
