POS bowling

POS Bowling was a technique in which a player warped a large ship such as a Titan or Mothership into a Starbase Forcefield in order to push out hostile ships in said Starbase [1]. The technique was invented by Against ALL Authorities and later perfected by Band of Brothers. The technique relied on the large radius of the ship warping to the tower, and that the arrival point on a tower would place the ship well inside of the force field. When the force field repelled the ship from its borders, other ships that were hit by the arriving vessel would be pushed out of the force field as well.

CCP later released a patch that among other things made it impossible for hostile ships to warp into a POS unless they have their starbase forcefield password for the POS.

Legality

At first this technique was deemed to not be an exploit by CCP but this decision was later reversed [2].
