Otami Idama has been reborn many times, though the exact amount remains a mystery. His original date of birth is a closely guarded secret. Numerous decorations from the great Gallente-Caldari War can be seen around his office, so that dates him to at least two centuries old. Possessing a considerable knowledge base on a plethora of subjects, he prefers to spend his time passing on his experience to younger capsuleers.

Having served more than a century in what is known today as the Federation Navy as a Special Forces Operative, he has since retired and moved on to pursue some of his own goals. He attended the University of Caille to study business, majoring as an executive commander. Graduating as an Honor student, he congratulated himself by purchasing a Maulus class frigate and began the new phase of his life with a profound vigor.

The first thing that Otami needed was ISK, so he began to run missions for the local corporate agents whenever they had an odd job they needed taken care of. Soon, he met a capsuleer who goes by the call-sign Lenny Lunchmeat, who offered Otami a position in a small, out of the way mining/industrial corporation called Chilled Solutions. Otami accepted the position, packed his belongings into his Maulus and made his way from his campus in Bourynes halfway across the galaxy to the Chilled Solutions HQ.

Otami spent the next several months working closely with the members of Chilled Solutions, making lasting friends, learning new things, and working his way through the ranks of the pod pilot community. Soon he was the proud pilot of a Myrmidon, and making decent money. Though the Chilled Solutions HQ was seven jumps away, Otami eventually spent more and more of his time in one of the larger Minmatar trade hubs, Hek. Every visit to Hek further convinced him that it was a prime place to eventually start his own corporation.

Soon, Chilled Solutions made the decision to found an alliance, and Otami decided that it was the perfect time to leave his alumni corporation and finally get Midnight Clockwork on it's feet. The Cryogenesis Mining Syndicate was born, and Otami was now the Executive Midnight Councilman for his newly founded corporation. Eventually, CMS moved the majority of it's operations to a low security constellation on the other side of the galaxy, but Otami opted to stay behind and continue working in and around Hek. Now, he can be seen flying around in the Metropolis and Hemitar regions in one of his many vessels, running high priority level four missions for his contacts in the Krusual Tribe Bureau, Boundless Creation, or the Republic Security Services.
