Ore Mongers

Ore Mongers or OMG as it is called by corp-members, started out as a pirate corporation basing out of the citadel|citadel region and used to hunt belts, ransom and generally fight anti-pirate entities in areas such as costolle parts and obalyu. Throughout the years 2007-2010 the corporation has been mostly based out of 0.0 in regions such as geminate, stain, pure blind|pure blind, Cloud Ring, Syndicate, and recently Scalding Pass

"ORE MONGERS is a 0.0-based nomad corporation. We are a fun business corporation with an open-minded free form of leadership that expects consistency from our members. At our core we impose no other morals than loyalty to our own. Our origins are in low-sec as opportunistic profiteers and ad hoc violent diplomacy. What we are not given, we take from the soft clutches of our enemies.

We have no militaristic rule, no one is forced to labour for us. But we still expect the best from our members, at all times. With high expectations come a lot of freedom, that; if abused gets punished harshly. We will not suffer leeches.

History

The Beginning

After some time in hysera the corporation relocated to the khanid area in solar systems such as gehi and kaira working close together with another corporation known as ethereal inc. ran by CEO Necroraider, but the relationship grew colder and disputes were held between the both pirate corporations about loot and other shared swag. It was around the time in Essence that Ore Mongers decided to focus their efforts as pirates and joined the renown pirate coalition.

OMG after some time in Essence then decided to join smash alliance to gain more power as a corporation through increased income and access to 0.0-PvP. At this point the corporation became less of a pirate corporation, and more of a mixed bag, taking on a more business-like way of reasoning, and in late 2006 profiled itself as a 'Mafia-themed'-corporation with it's own industry, as well as a group of pirate veterans doing PvP.

Ore Mongers had a big fallout with alliance leader Peoke after a few months in SMASH Alliance and applied to join r0adkill. Alliance leaders scooter1 and ultan devastator took the corp under their wing and in R0adkill Ore Mongers profiled themselves as a strong, very socially tight group with excellent PvP-qualities. Nearly always ranking #2 or #3 on the alliance killboard (behind Interstellar exodus IE-EX). Ore Mongers was a member of RK for over a year but then decided to go independent under a new own alliance, black hand. even more profiled as a mafia themed alliance. During this time the corporation ran 'protection money'-schemes known from Mafia-methodology where Ore Mongers would ask for monthly donations, paid for as insurance against Ore Mongers assaulting the ransomees space/equipment (and other corporations doing the same). One of the larger entities being under Black Hand. protection was scalar federation.

OMG then decided to disband Black Hand. after some failed operations in Venal and the Metropolis region, and move to stain, where they teamed up with several other corporations in the so-called Anti-Stain Coalition. Among the friends were MASS, Infinitus Odium (INFOD) and Wreckless Abandon (Wr3ck).

After this coalition failed miserably, Ore Mongers hooked up with old friends IE-EX and together with R.U.S.T formed brick squad. which Ore Mongers would be a member of for roughly one year, fighting enemies such as TRI, IT, GOONS, C0VEN, Stain Empire, etc. - eventually a more euro-based Ore Mongers suffered from being in a mainly U.S.-Timezone alliance and had to leave old friends, and move northeast.

The present

At present, Ore Mongers are members of gentlemen's club basing out of Scalding Pass. The decision to join this alliance was mainly based on PvP-activity and Euro-timezone activity, as well as renown corporation the hull miners union being in charge of said alliance.

Ore Mongers have had a peak membership of 89 (whilst in Brick Squad.) dropping to a mere 49 in recent days (partly due to hard recruitment and activity standards), however the following historic members have in one way or another defined the corporation:
