Here's a list of problems related to Mac OSX and solutions/explanation for them.

Incorrect version of OS X

When displayed thew following error "This game requires Mac OS X 10.4.9 or better. Please upgrade your operating system in order to play this game" This happens when the player does not have a recent enough installation of OS X so the Quit button is only displayed. All the player needs to to is run the Software Update tool ( press Apple and select Software Update ) and install all recommended updates.

Architecture not supported

When I start Eve I get the following error, why? “You can not open the application gamename because it is not supported in this architecture.” You are trying to run Eve on on a PowerMac, which it can not run on. Eve can only be run on an Intel based Machintosh machine with version MacOS X 10.4.9 or later.

Eve/Cider does not start or is always crashing, why? If you run the client from inside a ISO or dmg file ( even uf they are mounted ) the client can be very unstable and crash. Install the client correctly -- link to installation doc --- It's possible the preferences folder is corrupt and thus needs deleting, do so to see if that helps with running the client successfully. The preferences folder is located at this location /Users/"yourusername"/Library/Preferences/Eve Preferences.
