The Nightmare is a faction battleship available from the Sansha's Nation faction loyalty point stores. Designed similarly to the empires' new marauder class battleships the Nightmare is a monster of a combat vessel. Whether in PVP or PVE combat this ship has one job, to find the largest possible target in range and reduce it to ash. Its generous fitting options and double damage bonus serve this purpose admirably, giving it the distinction of being one of the few ships in space capable fitting a full rack of continuously firing tachyon beam lasers. The result is a capacity for damage unrivaled by all but the largest opposing ships. The Nightmare is not without its drawbacks though. Its prohibitive price, heavy capacitor use, and burdensome skill requirements make sure it will only be found in the hands of the incredibly skilled or recklessly wealthy.
