NED-Clan (Player corporation)
SummaryNED-Clan is a medium-sized Dutch speaking corporation which puts emphasis on all forms of null-sec combat (capital and fleet warfare, skirmishes and recon operations), while retaining a strong industrial backbone. HistoryThe corporation started as a small empire corporation based in Minmatar low-security space, dedicated to anti-pirating and industry. In March 2006 they moved to the Outer Ring region where they joined the NORAD alliance, which merged with Fountain Alliance into RISE in July 2006 and moved into Cloud Ring. After several conflicts NED-Clan followed as a part of the RISE alliance into Feythabolis early 2007. NED-Clan had a few months to recover before Feythabolis became the frontline of the Pendulum Wars. By the time BoB rejected the region, RISE disintegrated and NED-Clan had become a PVP-focused corporation. Due to the PVP nature the corporation had gained, they joined the Insurgency alliance to fight the Northern Coalition in late 2007. In this alliance was another Dutch speaking corporation named Nephilimm, with whom they merged. After Insurgency was crushed by the Northern Coalition in May 2008, the corporation sought refuge in faction warfare, and tried several smaller alliances. None of which to their liking, thus they gladly accepted the invitation to join the new alliance Resurgency in September 2007. This alliance fell apart two months later due to issues within the lead corporation, Celestial Apocalypse. NED-Clan then decided to join the IRON with several other ex-Resurgency corporations. Although the initial talks revealed a glimps of the old IRON mentality, as soon as the campaign for Pure Blind unleashed the ties with the NC got stronger and stronger. As the members lost trust in the Alliance and the leadership the corp left for Empire, direction unknown looking for a new challenge that could get us back into the action. Minor Threat started out in Syndicate and when they moved to Stain the corp decided to tag along and raise havoc in the area. In search for more targets and better opportunities to claim territory the move to Catch was made followed immediately by the campaign for Scalding Pass alongside Outbreak. At the top of it's glory, Minor Threat imploded due to management crisis and fell apart, leaving much of the core corporations which merged with Zenith Affinity to prepare for the Dominion expansion. It was a marriage forged in hell as the PVP minded capsuleers from MT simply clashed with the initial members of ZAF. While management of MT tried to make it work the pressure and frustration from the former MT corporations grew and Minor Threat was reborn to take on it's own course. While officially having sovereignity over Cloud Ring, the Alliance based out of Black Rise and whilst the mentality was still strong it never culd attain it's former glory. When the management of Amok. did not return from the Christmas break and no replacement could be found, the unified decision was made to break up the alliance and pursue different ways. NED-Clan had just before that time been approached by Intrepid Crossing with an offer to join their ranks to reinforce the EU PVP and accepted the invitation.
