Pre-capsuleer life

  • Mother: Mai Karttunen, Professor / Researcher.
  • Father: Ukko Arkenath, Sales Manager.
  • Siblings: None.
  • Place of birth: Isukora, Saisio III (Achura).

Myrhial was born and raised on Saisio III until the age of fifteen, when her father was recruited for a station-side sales manager position at Ishukone, a welcome change from a similar but far less well-paying position at one of SuVee's planet-side offices. Leaving her job as professor at a local university behind Myrhial's mother took up a new career as researcher for the same mega-corporation.

Being taught from young age by her mother Myrhial's natural curiosity made her one of the better students in her class both in her old and new home. While back on Saisio she would have followed in her mother's footsteps, she didn't hesitate twice when screenings told her she had the right qualifications to become a pod pilot and enrolled with the School of Applied Knowledge.

Apex Unlimited

Fresh out of the academy Myrhial applied for a position as researcher at Apex Unlimited and spent her time doing agent work, light manufacturing and R&D. She aspired to specialize in exploration and invention.

Myrhial operated mostly by herself but could be found after hours at Andromeda Skies, a bar that was popular with the Apex pilots and where she also got to know various other capsuleers that would play an important role in her future life. This changed during and after the war with the Cyrene Initiative. Too inexperienced to contribute and largely left out of the loop she decided it for the best to stop going there and instead tried to operate under the radar as best as she could, something in which she succeeded quite well until Duty caught up with her.

During the Caldari Buisness Tribunal investigation Myrhial's testimony -- the records of which got lost in a power surge -- indicate she was blissfully unaware of Apex's involvement with outlaw elements. If this were really so she has never officially confirmed or denied, but it is commonly assumed she must have picked up something but was either too young to fully grasp it or simply decided to close her eyes to the truth.

The war and investigation being over, Apex announcing its independence from the State and the lure of profits to be made from datacore sales had Myrhial travel out to Amarr sovereignty to do missions for the Carthum Conglomerate. It was during this time her CEO Vendrin Latanis was involved in a cloning accident which restricted him to plane-side life. This, combined with other factors brought on a period of downfall for Apex eventually resulting in many members transferring to the recently founded Angel Cartel corporation Ghost Festival.

Myrhial remained behind facing a dilemma as Apex closed its doors for an unknown period: Would she take up the opportunity to study further at the EVE University, or would she follow her friends down a darker path? Disenchanted with the State's growing oppressive nature she chose the latter option and swore allegiance to the Angel Cartel, in hope to find with them the freedom she desired, hone her skills in capsuleer combat, as well as obtain access to the rumoured Jovian technology.

Ghost Festival

Early days

Myrhial adapted quickly to life in low security. She ran all sorts of agent work for the Thukker, whom in those days still held good relations with the Angel Cartel, and with her knowledge of exploration no Sansha complex in the area was safe for long. Flying together with the other Ghosts it took a mere month before her State citizenship was revoked.

The Move and The Exodus

After around three months in Derelik the corporation decided to move to better hunting grounds in The Citadel after a peace pact with Veto Corp was formed. The stay there was short-lived however, as the announcement of Kyoko Sakoda’s resignation, romantic involvement with Ethan Verone and move to Veto Corp brought on an exodus, quite literally splitting Ghost Festival in half.

Admission into the directorate

Myrhial decided to stay and was appointed as a director by the new CEO Aria Jenneth while the corporation moved back to Hasateem and revoked the peace pact. A new recruitment drive, The Gathering Chorus, was started and the corporation gradually grew again in size and activity.

Promotion to CEO

Around a month after Myrhial entered the directorate Aria Jenneth departed from the corporation to join the State Protectorate and defend her home world, and chose Myrhial to be her successor. While Myrhial would at this point gladly have followed Aria there she dutifully continued the war with Ammatar Free Corps and the expansion of Ghost Festival, which had by now recovered from the blow it suffered.

Bold Harvest

When Derelik remained quiet despite CVA announcing they would focus on securing the region Ghost Festival announced Operation: Bold Harvest, a training campaign for which they would move to The Bleak Lands. It was during this time Myrhial really gained confidence in her abilities as a pilot in capsuleer combat, the region offering many smaller targets that were eager to fight back, in contrast to the industrialists she faced in Derelik. Previously a Caldari exclusive pilot she took up training for Amarrian ships, a decision inspired by her long-time friend Kimochi Rendar and new recruit Yishal, the latter which also brought forward the original idea for the campaign.

Divine Envoy

Having resided a good four months in The Bleak Lands it was time for another move, this time to Sinq Laison, and more specifically the system of Goinard. Sharing a dislike for Sansha’s Nation and an interest in business the relations with Veto Corp were rekindled and Ghost Festival became their neighbors again. Having previously focused on stealth and small wolfpack combat the attention broadened to bigger hulls for the use in operations such as home defense and POS ransoms. This made Myrhial rediscover her love for the Caldari ships and pilot old favorites such as the Crow and Drake.

Naraka.

Mid-september of YC 111 Ghost Festival and PRETA Light Industries became united as Naraka., and declared themselves as an Angel Cartel loyalist alliance, retiring Ghost Festival from its experimental status. This elevated Myrhial to the position of co-executor, a shared responsibility with the CEO of PRETA Light Industries, and mediated by administrative executor Valnurana (Naraka Holdings).

Operation Longshot

To combat the slow decline of numbers at the start of YC 112, this operation was called to life after previous attempts to find a new home system had proven to be fruitless. Goinard was just too good a location, and thus nomadic operations were chosen as the preferred alternative. Operation Longshot was set in and around Eugales, and spanned Placid lowsec. The next step, which would be the first nomadic operation into nulsec, was never realized.

Veto Corp

With several core members expressing a desire to move to Veto Corp -- at that time still a neutral entity with only a small portion of the shares being Guristas-owned -- it was decided to take Ghost Festival into stasis mode.

Myrhial left Ghost Festival in the capable hands of an interim CEO -- the name of which has been erased from all records -- and joined the ranks of Veto Corp as a special member. While she didn't take up any responsibilities, she gained full access to the alliance's communication network to learn from the workings of an entity far bigger than what she had dealt with before.

This move, while considered a good one for her future career, came with the drawback that her up until then successful relationship with capsuleer Jude Kopenhagen came to an abrupt but not surprising end. While under Ghost Festival's wings, Jude has been an outspoken supporter of independence, and was distrustful of the working relationship Naraka. and Veto Corp had shared. When Myrhial moved over, she became in his eyes too close to the Guristas, and went somewhere he could not follow her. It is rumored that both felt great grief over the breakup, but hid behind simply going on with their lives.

Being ever the Cartel supporter, Myrhial started up Operation Platinum Halo, which was essentially an agent mission operation set in Curse, with the ironic fact that this was done both under Veto Corp's colors and took several other of its pilots away from their usual home. This made Myrhial into one of the alliance's Dramiel blueprint resellers, up until the point where her Tengu was lost to an overwhelming force of Federation frigates. The combination of stasis webifiers, warp disruptors and superior firepower, a tactic capsuleers employ when fighting each other on a daily basis, proved too be too much for the ship to handle.

Resistance Project

Alexander Rykis recruited Myrhial to a director position within Resistance Project, which was to be the executor corporation of a new Angel Cartel alliance named Ghost Syndicate. The grand plan of this alliance was to become the CVA equivalent of the Angel Cartel. Sadly, the ridicule and distrust from the capsuleer community since the beginning caused the whole plan to grind to a halt in no less than 7 days. A great shame as well-known loyalists Aria Jenneth and Nikita Alterana's corporation Risen Angels were on board.

It was the failed infiltration of Stillwater through an associate of Alexander -- orchestrated as an act of revenge over them valuing their independence as a corporation and thus declining the membership offer in Ghost Syndicate -- that caused a major rift, and doomed the Project from even before things really came to an official end. While said to be on neutral terms with Stillwater, Myrhial has always been in favor of mending relationships with them, and despite this sentiment not being met with mutual agreement she stood up for those who had at one point been her pilots. Luckily, one could say, she was saved a great deal of further headache as Alexander renounced the Angel Cartel and moved Resistance Project into Star Fraction, a home that would prove to be as temporary as the last one.

Ghost Festival (continued)

Re-opening of Naraka.

Feeling that if you want something done well, you have to do it yourself, Myrhial returned back to Naraka. sooner than anticipated. Marcus Gord took up the helm of PRETA Light Industries again, and quickly a working relationship was set up with Risen Angels and Anshar Incorporated, while Stillwater agreed to a NAP.

Operation We Come For Our Salvage

With support of long-time friend Casiella Truza, a new operation was set up that were to take place in highsec, thus resulting in Myrhial having to redeem herself before CONCORD and drop her -10 security status. The scope of this operation included operating out of Minmatar high security and salvaging Angel Cartel vessels destroyed by capsuleers, with the intentions of showing that capsuleer loyalists very well care for their faction and hopefully provoke fights or even outright war. However, it soon became apparent that they were not only a rare few going against the tide, but also that life in highsec was dreadfully boring when used to living in lowsec for such a long time.

Expansion of Naraka. and the move into Curse

At first joined by the brainchild of Aria Jenneth, Kumiho's Smile, Naraka. opened its doors to the corporations Ma'asei Merkabah and Deviance Cartel. While having now been set up in its lowsec home of Futzchag, a system that Myrhial knew well from when the corporation was still set up in Hasateem, life in Curse soon became a possibility. Due to the then relative quiet of the Tranquility constellation it was easy to, for the first time, set up with more than just a temporary thing. Both old and new acquaintances as well as a boldness from the leadership when it came to diplomatic discussions resulted in Naraka. settling in swiftly and being there to stay.

Corporation shuffle and life in Curse

Over the next months, Ma'asei Merkabah closed its doors and merged into Ghost Festival, Deviance Cartel joined good friends Hedonsitic Imperative and Aria Jenneth decided to continue in independence with Kumiho's Smile. However, new corporations came to the alliance: Damnation Angels, under lead of former Ghost Vincent Pryce, and Coreli Coporation, resurrected once more as a Serpentis loyalist corporation. Salvation Logistics, founded by Rhen Ayase as a personal corporation, completes the current list of Naraka. corporations.

While the landscape is ever changing, at present Myrhial is still holding firm on making life in Curse a success, and the current perseverance despite facing the odds of returning inactivity and neighboring alliances many times the size of Naraka. is a testament to that. She swears that as long as there is a Ghost in Curse, she will keep going strong, and with herself intent on staying that is a sealed deal.

CONCORD records

Myrhial is suspected of having committed and / or being involved in the following criminal activities (in no specific order):

  • Robbery
  • Ransom
  • Extortion
  • Conspiracy
  • Drug and booster distribution, trafficking and possession
  • Racketeering
  • Insurance fraud
  • Assault
  • Murder
  • Burglary
  • Slave trade

She is also listed as the CEO of an Angel Cartel loyalist corporation and membership in an Angel Cartel loyalist alliance. Having committed numerous attacks in space on both capsuleer and non-capsuleer vessels which resulted in ransom, assault, robbery, extortion or murder as well as a few station-side offences she is categorized as a very high threat.

Diary of a Pod Pilot

Since her employment with Ghost Festival Myrhial has recorded her life in the public GalNet blog Diary of a Pod Pilot. While it makes for a poor source of intel or private information it does have a good deal of faithful readers. Despite the recordings being objective some accuse her of using it as a tool of propaganda for Naraka. and the Angel Cartel.

Trivia

  • She started to buy skillbooks she would need in the future when she began to live in lowsec, a convenience that eventually turned into a hobby as skillbook collector. At present (August Y113) she has 309 unique books plugged in.
  • She appears two episodes of the sensational novel series Interstellar Intrigue, entitled Heart Of An Angel and Seraphim In Chains. The novels, claiming to be based on declassified DED reports and internal communication, are both works of pure fiction.
