Summary

More-Cowbell [MCB] is a PvP corporation and a former member of the Cult of War Alliance. As of August 17th, 2010, MCB has closed, and is no longer an active corp.

General Information

More-Cowbell was created by a group players involved with the online tank simulation game Steel Beasts. Many members of MCB are former or active members of their countries' respective military and law enforcement.

After forming MCB within Eve Online, the corporation grew steadily upon joining the Caldari side of Factional Warfare. Within a few short months MCB became the top corporation in nearly every category on the Caldari FW Killboard, and was the leader in overall kills behind only the State Protectorate.

In early 2010, MCB left Caldari Factional Warfare and joined the prestigious nullsec alliance Cult of War.

By mid 2010, CoW had been dissolved, and MCB left nullsec. After a short month in Amarr Militia, More-Cowbell leadership decided it was the end of the road. After two and a half years, MCB shut its doors officially August 17, 2010.

MCB is currently a placeholder corporation, should its leaders ever wish to resurrect it into the PvP centric force that it once was.

Potent Notables

  • In late 2009, MCB reached their 10,000th kill as recorded by battleclinic.com, averaging 416 kills per month, this while being out of an alliance.
  • Ranked among the top 500 corporations in all of eve.
  • Closed its doors on August 17, 2010 by decision of the leadership. Afterward going from 102 members to 30 in 3 days.

Reasons for Closing

It was a sad day for all members of MCB when word was passed along that their beloved corp was being dismantled. All members were told in a corp mail that, as sad as it may be, CEO Caffeine Overdose couldn't run the corp anymore, and since nobody wished to take his place, the corp would be shut down.

After hearing the word, members were shocked and some upset, but all realized that it was the end of an era. Few who were extended members of MCB had any bad things to say about their time, it was, for many, what made eve worth playing.

The following mail was sent out that informed all that the time had come to move on:

End of the line

Boys & Girl, ladies and gentlemen, and the occasional cross-dresser...

This is the end of the line for me. and for M.C.B.

it's been 2.5yrs of awesome fun, and i wanna thank everyone so incredibly much for all the fun and joy you gave me and the rest of the corp in EVE. i've made friends for life in M.C.B and i've really really enjoyed having the honor to be yeers all CEO.

Sadly, everything has and end, and M.C.B ends here. I can not find the time or the energy (and joy) that it takes to run a successful corp in EVE at this point, and i feel like im being very rude to you guy by keeping the corp going without any real plan of action to get things going. So instead of letting it all die out, im ending it here so that you all can move on and find someplace where you will get value for those $19.99.

Finally. I really truly love you all for all the fun times you've given me. I hope M.C.B have given you some of that back over the years...

Gotta have more cowbell!
