Map doesnt load

My map keeps loading forever, what do I do?

Sometimes the map gets stuck on loading and doesn't complete no matter how long you wait. If that happens then the option you are trying to use is probably temporarily bugged, and your map will be unusable until you have cleared your preferences. The best way to do this is to delete the entire contents of your cache and settings folder, including the prefs.ini file (Please make sure that EVE is not running while you do this). The cache and settings folder are kept in the following locations :

• "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\" on Windows XP.
• "%LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\" on Windows Vista.

Simply copy and paste the paths into the explorers address bar or into the field you get by Start-Run or Windows-Key + R (without the " )

This should in most cases fix the map, though the error may reoccur you select the bugged option again. Note that the cache deletion will reset EVE to its default settings and unsort your bookmarks.

If you find that some parts of the map are permanently bugged, please file a bug report on it right away and it will be fixed as soon as possible.
