]V[aelstrom Alliance was founded by two corperations back in 2006; Vortex. [VORTX] and Frontline Defence Forces [.FDF.]. Shortly after picking up many other corporations including XMX Corp [XMX], Standard Operations Building Services [SOBS] and several more later.

The Alliances grass roots originated in the Geminate region, small scale roaming gangs, and POS operations in a quiet area close to the BWF-ZZ 0.0 chokepoint entry system. Later moving to the Derelik region, and working along side local anti-pirate forces such as Ushrakan fought many small scale skirmishs with local pirate groups such as Spontaneous Defenestration [W1N] in and around the Providence region.

]V[aelstrom setup Ratting POS in northern Immensea in unused but claimed space none the less. Chimera Pact, the space holder of Immensea threatened to destroy ]V[aelstrom's POS's, and subsequently they were removed as a result of those threats. During this time Lotka Volterra -LV- approached ]V[aelstrom and offered them access to prime 0.0 space by means of a rental agreement which ]V[aelstrom partook for the remainder of 2006 and early 2007.

Lotka Volterra realising ]V[aelstrom was a cut above its other tenants, offered them the chance to "prove themselves" in the battlefields of Wicked Creek and Insmother.

]V[aelstrom approached the now failing Chimera Pact about controlling northern Immensea, and eventually deploying an outpost to live in. While reluctant at first, Chimera Pact was suffering from internal strife and vastly reduced numbers due to their main corps parting ways and joining the ranks of Lotka Volterra. As a result an agreement was made between the two alliances to share Immensea's resources.

Not long after ]V[aelstrom alliance eventually gave birth to its first and only station during one early morning in July. They named the station in I-NGI8 (System) ]V[aelstrom Prime.

Over the course of several months ]V[aelstrom alliance fought several campaigns against UNL and IAC. Whilst the fighting with IAC eventually ended after negotiations, the campaign against UNL continued throughout the remainder of ]V[aelstrom's time in I-NGI8 (System) and Immensea (Region).

After 4 months of ]V[aelstrom sovereignty in I-NGI8 (System). Tau Ceti Federation along with Goonswarm, United Legion, Red Alliance, Smash Alliance and others invaded northern Immensea, simultaneously Against All Authorities [AAA] and IAC invaded ISS further to the north.

]V[aelstrom alliance members made a valiant attempt to hold there station, fighting against forces often three times their number in certain timezones. The battle for I-NGI8 (System) raged on 23 hours a day for 10 days without rest. Eventually Tau Ceti Federation and allies reigned victorious and ]V[aelstrom lost control of the outpost along with the destruction 12+ of the Deathstar POS in system.

]V[aelstrom alliance retreated back to empire after the battle for I-NGI8 (System) to regroup and recover.

]V[aelstrom alliance was widely considered a formidable fighting force and was praised for its endurance and outstanding display of integrety by all sides during the war for I-NGI8 (System), but its collapse was inevitable after its failed attempt to re-establish itself in Syndicate against The OSS.
