About the LoveQuest

The LoveQuest is a player created event taking place in New Eden. The first event was held on December 22nd 2007 in the Amarr system (thread mirror). The concept of the event is to give away ships, modules, blueprints and whatever else that may be of use to pod pilots.

The grand prize of the first event was the 'Veldpocalypse Navy Issue' - and Navy Issue Apocalypse modified for the art of mining. Estimated sum of prizes given away during 'LoveQuest 2007' was in the regions of 2-3 billion ISK.

Created and hosted by Chribba the event makes it second appearance on December 20th 2008 (forum thread for the event).

LoveQuest 2007

Kicking off after downtime on December 22nd 2007 the LoveQuest drew the attention from many pod pilots, participants in the 50-60's filling local with shouts and conversations made the local residents wonder what was going on.

Events

Canister looting; In the Irnin system, an estimated of 50 secure canisters had been anchored. Protected by passwords the participants were instructed to randomly select any canisters they wished to try an open. A number of passwords were announced and the “hacking” began. Each canister was filled with one or more items, with the exception of a few blind ones which were empty.

Break the bubble; A POS tower had been anchored and within its force field a number of ships had been left unpiloted. Every pilot for themselves as the force field was shut down leaving any ship to be up for grabs by anyone. This event was disturbed by a suicide bomber (Angmar Illuminati), who did his best to set off as many smartbombs as possible at the tower, killing some of the participants.
