More about Kourmonen
Kourmonen is an important lowsec travel route that links the Trade Hubs of Amarr and Rens, and is often frequented by players willing to risk the 11-jump journey between the two market systems. It is located a single jump from Heimatar and two jumps from Devoid. It does not have an appreciable pirate presence. It is also an important system in the local Factional Warfare conflict between the Amarr and Minmatar militias.
Faction Warfare
Traditionally Kourmonen has served, along with Auga, as one of the front-line systems in the conflict between the Amarr and Minmatar militias. With Minmatar militia forces basing primarily out of Dal, Amamake and Auga, and most Amarr militia forces based in Kamela and Huola, fleet battles between the two were an almost daily occurrence. This is still true today, although with a large portion of the Minmatar militia's most active corporations based now in Huola, and the Amarr militia's forces spread between Kourmonen, Huola and Kamela, activity in Kourmonen has dropped slightly.
