Kitochi Oritsu, currently known as Korthan, is a veteran capsuleer and standard pilot, outlaw, and employee of Veto Corp. Known for streaks of violent reprisals for those who cross him, Kitochi has also been seen to be very loyal to those he considers friends and family.

Upbringing and Education

Kitochi was born on May 6th, 79YC in the city of Tiko on the southern edge of the Kiguro-Myoto Province on Todaki II. He was born as second son to parents Miro Oritsu and Hirimi Daku Oritsu. Having been born into a extremely wealthy family, Kitochi attended the best State funded and sponsored academies where it was determined his acute perception and ability to memorize details came from submissive gene on his mother's family line; State IQ testing placed Kitochi at one hundred, seventy eight.

At the age of twelve Kitochi was initiated as an apprentice in his father's business which held a monopoly in the province in the textile and arms manufacturing sectors. With his innate ability to pick out details and arrange things for optimal performance, Kitochi had managed to increase the business' textile production and income by 12%. His father recognized his strengths and promoted Kitochi to level of Director Assistant to his Uncle Moru who ran the textile operations of the business.

After finishing academic studies at the age of sixteen Kitochi worked full time for the family business earning the family massive increases in sales; part of which went to a private bank to begin Kitochi's financial foundation.

Upon reaching the age of eighteen, Kitochi approached his parents and extended family, his resignation in hand and told them he was joining the Caldari Navy. While his life working for his father was full of luxury and power, he required more to satisfy his quest for knowledge and individual power.

The Caldari Navy

Five months later Kitochi arrived at the Science and Trade Institute and began his training. Several years passed as he continued his studies, switching majors twice before taking on Special Tactics and Operations taught in conjunction with the State War Academy.

Upon graduation Kitochi formally joined the Officer Ranks of the Caldari Navy and began his career. His ability to command others in stressful situations and to complete tasks in unorthodox manners saw his rise to the final rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Kitochi then went into training to become a capsuleer pilot and began the harsh two year training program initiated by the State and Navy. He passed after successfully integrating with a Capsule and test flying an Ibis class frigate under simulation and received command of a Caracal class Cruiser.

Disappearance and Exile

After another year in the Navy as a Capsuleer Pilot and running a string of successful missions with the crews under his command, Kitochi suddenly resigned from the Navy and left the State with the people under his command to include a second generation Inquisitor by the name of Shukitchi Okumura.

In the process of disappearing and breaking away from the Navy, Kitochi was flagged with criminal status after killing his commander officers and six station crew before hi-jacking a Caracal class Cruiser with Navy identifiers and leaving the State.

His self imposed exile was never explained and he keeps it a closely guarded secret with only a few close friends knowing the details.

Capsuleer Life

Kitochi and his band of followers worked as mercenaries and pirate hunters for the first few years after breaking away from the State. This route eventually saw them take place in some of the first major wars between Capsuleer corporations and alliances in the galactic north during what is referred to as the Great Northern War.

After the war ended in the north, Kitochi moved back to Empire space and began reconnecting to familial ties and connections inside the State and began working in the shadows before joining Cutting Edge Incorporated who in later years created the Razor Alliance. Kitochi and his crew gained much under the banner of [CEi], not to mention great wealth and power among the Mordus Legion mercenaries.

After a fallout with leadership and unwillingness to risk the lives of his people in meaningless alliance politics, Kitochi broke away from CEi and went back to empire, moving between corporations and groups of fellow capsuleers. Several years on their own took Kitochi from low-security space and pirating to null-security space and ultimate freedom.

Eventually Kitochi rejoined his friend Kyoko Sakoda, former pilots both of Omerta Syndicate, in Ghost Festival. An outlaw corporation whose loyalty to the Angel Cartel raised his interest in the possibility of getting access to the Cartel's vast wealth and technology. Ultimately eight months later after a fallout between fellow directors and the then CEO Myrhial Arkenath, Kitochi rejoined VETO Corp under the guidance of Ethan Xavier Verone.

He remains under employment to VETO Corp to the present date.

Personality

Due to a mix of recessive genes and traits that came out late in life, Kitochi is seen as a bi-polar person. While generally calm and amiable, he has had streaks of confrontation and violence which has resulted in the deaths of many people; some of these include former colleagues and family.

Kitochi has taken to drinking Hak'len, the slight narcotic properties of the tea helping to calm his choler and maintain inner balance. He has also taken to practicing ancient traditions to include sword training and dueling, meditation, and martial skills.

Lifestyle

Kitochi lives what most refer to as a monk's life. His living space, while large, is kept sparse and utilitarian. The only area in his quarters furnished beyond simplicity is a training room decorated in Achuran art work and a traditional Caldari meditation altar which houses fresh flowers brought in each day in memory of his parents.

Ke keeps an abundance of weapons and small arms in the training room which surround several training mats. Kitochi maintains his training and keeps in peak physical condition.

His attire consists of mostly cream, white, and black Achuran style robes which allow the addition of concealed weapons within the voluminous folds of clothing. He is also rarely seen not wearing his capsule body glove in case the need for quickly getting into a ship arises.

Implants

During his tenure with the Navy, Kitochi underwent surgery in which a half-suite of Inquisitor grade implants were grafted to his body. While most of the implants and enhancements are passively active, Kitochi retains control of the remaining wet implants.
