Kimochi Rendar is a Capsuleer and a pirate who prides herself on being independant from any of the four main empires. She especially hates CONCORD whom she sees as an oppressive, fascist organization that serves only to maintain the status quo. She is known for being at once a temptress, charming socialite and ruthless businesswoman who takes great pleasure in manipulating people into giving her what she wants.

Early Career

Kimochi was born to an unknown Khanid couple on January 3rd 86YC. She was immediately and anonymously given to the Bright Star Orphanage in the city of Sevara on Khanid Prime IV. She was never fostered, and spent the majority of her young life inside the orphanage complex. Eventually she was inducted into an all-girls boarding school.

At the age of 18 she was inducted into the military where it was discovered she had the correct combination of genes, mental ability and natural talent to become a Capsuleer. She was immediately forwarded to the Imperial Academy in exchange for a minimum 6 year term of service in the Royal Khanid Navy. She completed (and more importantly, survived) her training, and began working as a liasion to the Royal Khanid Navy in the Ministry of War after briefly joining Two Brothers Mining Corp as part of an extended training exercise.

Despite her exemplary performance during her training, her time in the Ministry of War was beset with problems. No less than six counts of insubordination were filed on her permenant record, and she was continually reprimanded for her conduct which was considered to be "not becoming of an officer and a lady in God's Holy Navy". She was recorded accessing and acquiring contraband material on several occasions, drawing negative attention from her superiors.

On March 1st 110YC Kimochi stole a Retribution-class Assault Frigate, along with the contingent of slaves she had been assigned as crew, and flew to the Derelik region where she joined the Angel Cartel affiliated pirate organization Ghost Festival, and committed her first act of piracy - assisting in the destruction of a Typhoon-class Battleship - shortly therafter.

Ghost Festival

Kimochi first joined Ghost Festival on March 1st 110YC after being headhunted by the then CEO Kyoko Sakoda. She claims that the main driving force behind her decision to leave the relative safety of highsec and engage in piracy was that she became disillusioned by the hypocritical and oppressive nature displayed by both the Ministry of War and CONCORD.

The Exodus / Induction Into the Directorate

Kyoko Sakoda left Ghost Festival for Veto Corp in July 110YC, taking a huge portion of it's members with her. Despite being given the oppertunity to leave with them Kimochi, along with several others, elected to stay and help rebuild the corp again. The founder and new CEO Aria Jenneth, grateful for this decision, promoted Kimochi into Ghost Festival's directorate where she assumed the role of Recruitment Officer and assisted in helping the corp regain it's numbers. After a recruitment drive which saw Ghost Festival regain a portion of it's former strength, Aria Jenneth resigned and handed the reins to current CEO Myrhial Arkenath. At the same time, Kimochi swapped roles to become the corp's Diplomatic Contact.

She remained as a Director for a little over a year and a half, during which time she has been instrumental in helping to steer the corp's direction and forge it's reputation. She considers the welfare of the corp and it's members to be her personal responsibility, and has been responsible for negotiating the corp's supply contracts along with being the first point of contact for those interested in securing positive relations with Ghost Festival.

Most recently, Kimochi was responsible for forging the corp's contract with the Administrator of Ghost Festival's current home base in the Goinard system - a station which belongs to CONCORD. The contract was negotiated to secure the use of station hangars and facilities, along with luxury quarters for all Ghost Festival pilots that need them. Kimochi has been quoted as referring to the irony of a Capsuleer piracy organization living inside a CONCORD owned station as "quite delicious".

Relationship to Veto

While Kimochi originally held feelings of animosity towards Veto and it's members for the devastating blow the Exodus had on Ghost Festival's members, she has since rekindled her friendship with her old comrades and has become close friends with Veto's CEO, Ethan Verone.

The Second Exodus

Kimochi eventually left Ghost Festival for Veto, unwittingly initiating a second Exodus and bringing about the temporary closure of Ghost Festival when several other pilots decided to move with her. While she was saddened that Ghost Festival's closure was partially her responsibility, she feels that moving to Veto was the right decision for her and has no regrets.

Veto Corp

In April 112YC, Kimochi left Ghost Festival for Veto partly due to declining activity levels in PRETA, but also out of a desire to fly with pilots with more combat experience in an attempt to learn from them and improve her own abilities.

She has since spent time integrating herself into Veto's unique community and has become a much valued combat pilot.

Current Activities

Kimochi is currently ranked as a regular member of Veto's combat wing. Her expertise in Amarrian warships has proven useful on multiple occasions and she continues to develop as a specialized combat pilot.

Philosophy and Personality

Kimochi was originally a follower of the Amarrian religeon. However at some unspecified point in her life she lost her faith, and in doing so also appeared to turn her back on most of the fundamental principles of organized religion, and even organized government in general. She believes that humankind has no higher purpose and that attempting to see meaning in a meaningless universe is an exercise in futility. With that in mind, she does her best to ensure that her life and the lives of the people she holds close are as comfortable and enjoyable as reasonably practical. She considers anyone outside of her own friendship circle to be expendible.

Social Activities

While her current mindset appears to most closely follow nihilism, she is not entirely amoral. She is highly social and greatly enjoys attending parties and other social gatherings in order to gather contacts, share information or even just to talk to others. She is often been described as charming, polite and easy-going even to people she has only just met.

Her interests outside of the capsule include Haute Couture (especially of Gallentean origin), socializing and dancing. In a recent attempt to reconnect with her Khanid heritage, she also takes part in swordfighting classes.

Business Conduct

Kimochi is a ruthless businesswoman who takes advantage of her position as an outlaw to regularly use techniques such as extortion or blackmail to get what she wants. Despite the cutthroat nature of her business ethic her dealings with others both inside and out of the capsule are always extremely polite, often to the immense frustration of her 'victims'. She takes great pleasure in putting her marks into a situation where they have no real option other than to submit to her and do what she says.

Views on the Empires

Kimochi is strangely proud of the fact that she is considered an outlaw, and holds a special kind of distain for CONCORD whom in her opinion exists only to restrict the freedoms of New Eden's populace. She has conflicting views on each of the four main empires, and for that reason has chosen to remain staunchly neutral in the current war.

Genetic Instability

Kimochi discovered some time ago that the genetic sample used to grow her clones was faulty, resulting in her becoming sterile. However the effects of the instability have become much more profound recently, as her cellular structure has begun to break down. Due to a series of intense treatments the cellular breakdown has been all but halted, however it has left every single clone she owns horrifically scarred on the right-hand-side of the face and body.
