A killboard is a website where a pilot, Corporation, or Alliance list their kills and losses. They are generally publicly viewable, although sometimes full information on current operations or ship fittings is restricted. Many killboards display a fitting screen of the killed ship's setup. Other stats, such as kills in the last day/week/etc, "top gun" and "top loser", and kills/losses in a campaign, are also generally available.
Killmails can be posted manually from the Character Sheet/Combat Log, or automatically pulled using the EVE-API by Corporate/Alliance officers. Many killboards also offer a Sync feature, which pulls mails from many other killboards.
For those who can’t host their own killboard some sites exist which offer this service for ISK payment. Some of this are:
Individual pilots can register their API key with eve-kill.net to provide public listing of destructions.
Many alliances and corporations set up their own killboard and utilize the free open source killboard called EDK. It is written in PHP and uses a MySQL database. It is produced and maintained by the Eve-Dev team but anyone can contribute changes, mods and themes for everyone else to use. Eve-Killboard.org, The EvE Service Corp and The EvE Killboard Corporation use EDK for their service.
Be sure of reading the official forum rules before posting a Killboard or Killmail link since some official forums, such as the Corporation, Alliance and Organization Discussions official forum, prohibit them, and others put restrictions on what can be posted.
