Character History

Kaleigh Ann Doyle (pronounced Cal-lee; born October 21, YC82) is capsule pilot trained by the Gallente Federation. Mostly recognized in New Eden as a model and teen actress, she later gained recognition as an entrepreneur, media mogul, humanitarian, and outspoken political activist.

Before the Pod: Early Life

Kaleigh was born on mining colony of the ice planet Pelille VII in the Placid region of the Federation, to Samuel (YC47-102), an independent parts supplier for the Fulosi-Nikado Consortium, and Rebecca Doyle (b. YC52), a noted anti-war activist and staunch feminist. She is the eldest of three daughters, Nola (b. YC86) and Aideen (YC84-110). Kaleigh's youth was one of privilege credited to her father's successful business relationships, receiving private schooling and entrepreneurial nurturing as she traveled with him on business excursions. She was recognized at age sixteen by a local talent scout for Regency Media, and subsequently used in a variety of regional advertising campaigns ranging from teen apparel to skin care infomercials.

However, it wasn't until two years later that Kaleigh reached the height of media notoriety, where she played the role of the rebellious teen Trina in the popular sitcom My Dad Brutor. The series enjoyed two years of significantly high ratings before she left the show to pursue a film career. At age twenty, the young Gallentean starlet was featured in her first holoreel film entitled The Phantom, where she starred as the leading role of a young woman haunted by the spirit of her dead boyfriend. Despite negative criticism from industry pundits, the movie achieved modest success and led to similarly typecast roles in several films over the next two years. She is almost universally acknowledged for mainstreaming the cult-horror genre due to her roles in the Bathed in Blood and Abyss (I-III) series. Her acting career ended abruptly after collapsing from dehydration on the set of her last movie, Lost in Kisogo. Although largely unconfirmed but never denied, there are many bootleg amateur adult films still in circulation claiming to be of the young actress before her absence from the industry.

Tabloid media had followed the young star through her meteoric rise to stardom and continued through the highly publicized fall from grace as she checked herself into a drug rehabilitation facility. However, they quickly lost interest and moved elsewhere as she returned months later, only to find the entertainment industry universally unwilling to employ her again. In an effort to reinvent herself, and with the encouragement of her sister Nola, the young woman began her career in the University of Caille where her education focused in the fields of economics, finance, and linguistics. A routine physical examination determined she was eligible for the Caille's capsule pilot project, and after the completion of her primary education she took to the stars as one of New Eden's elite.

Corporate History: From CEO to Media Mogul

Having been licensed for less than a month as a capsule pilot, Kaleigh had already began her first deluge into the business world founding an entertainment production company called Glamour Bunnies. The GLB achieved moderate financial success and provided a platform with which to promote social and political agendas across New Eden. The company eventually expanded into what would later be known as the Glamour Syndicate, an entertainment conglomeration encompassing a wider scale of production merchandising and services. The divisions included the Glamour Bunnies, Photesthetics Co., and Vixen Studios. The conglomerate hosted several events, including the Mr. and Ms. Universe Competitions. Some popular items produced by the Syndicate included: Samuel Rackham's Premium Caldari Ale, Aqueus water, GLS Magazine, and an extended line of adult toys from K-Dolls Incorporated. The Club Allure franchise also began during this period, as did the Interstellar Racing Association, which would later develop into the ISGC: Racing League. Both of these products were eventually purchased by Gyra Rho when the empire dissolved.

After the GLS dissolved, Kaleigh moved on to create Rho Dynamics, a military contractor for the Federation and independent corporations within the capsule community. The company managed to secure an extremely small share of the defense market and achieved only marginal success before the contract was abruptly ended for unknown reasons. The corporation was left to an employee, Saikoyu, and continues to thrive today.

Politics & Activism: Challenging the System

It wasn't until her attendance at the University of Caille that Kaleigh's career in activism began, where she led several sit-ins and rallies on campus for various causes ranging from environmental awareness to animal rights. She continued to champion humanitarian causes even after becoming a capsule pilot, most widely recognized for her effort to bring awareness to the homeless problem in the Federation. After a mass migration of Minmatar from the Republic swept into Gallente space, Kaleigh on behalf of the Syndicate began an employment program for many of the displaced Matari people to prevent them from joining the already unhealthy numbers of homeless on the streets. Kaleigh is also an outspoken opponent of slavery, but has taken a controversial position amongst militant freedom fighters that the cause for freedom must be done by peaceful means. This runs contrary to many rumors that the starlet had participated in combat operations with the noted terrorist organization Ushra'Khan in liberating the Providence region from Amarrian paramilitaries.

The fledgling CEO of the Glamour Bunnies took up the cause for the free-space movement, becoming one of the founding members of the Star Fraction alliance. Although this association was short lived due to internal ideological differences, she would later champion the cause as the founding member of the Progressive Reformist Party running as a fourth party candidate in the Federation Presidential Elections. The election board never recognized her attempt despite populist support from the capsule community and many of her fans throughout the Federation. The young Gallentean was also the founder of the Egalitarian Society, an underground organization for fellow pilots who share the principles of a free society to gather, collaborate and discuss agendas on major issues pertaining to the state of liberty in New Eden. Kaleigh later stepped down as chairwoman of the organization due to her controversial relationship with the Revan Neferis, a recognized member of the Sani Sabik movement. Despite her many known associations with outlaw pilots, Kaleigh had earned a reputation within the Federation for her anti-piracy operations against the Cartel, Blood Raiders, Guristas, Sansha's Nation, and Serpentis. She went on to lead a private crusade against the Guristas in their own backyard, running sorties throughout Pure Blind and Venal regions for more than a year before returning home to the Federation.

Personal Life: Turbulence

Despite her reclusive nature in the past few years, the tabloid media has done an excellent job in documenting her activities from her teenage years and into her life as a pilot. A polyamorous, bi-sexual feminist, Kaleigh was not shy to sexual liberation and was often found with multiple partners. She was married twice; the first to Kerrolyn Prio (deceased), a Krusal assassin, and later to Revan Neferis (divorced), an Amarr with public ties to the Sani Sabik cult. Other partners included known Sansha's Nation sympathizers, Minmatar Freedom fighters, Caldari nationalists, and even a Sebeistor dominatrix. Her battle with depression and substance abuse has continued to reappear throughout her career, and rumored to have been the cause of her suicide two years ago which resulted in the annulment of her second marriage.
