KIA Alliance (Player alliance)
KIA Alliance was upon creation a mercenary alliance based out of Empire, accepting mid-sized contracts that did not involve capital fleets. KIA Alliance was specialized in fielding Interceptor-/HAC-fleets and Battleship fleets and operating out of a closeby high-sec system.
During the TORTUGA operation in cooperation with the Mercenary Coalition, Ev0ke and 0utbreak, KIA Alliance moved into Period Basis, to establish a haven for the major mercenary alliances and to shut off the south entrance to the regions controlled by Band of Brothers.
KIA Alliance formerly held two constellations in Geminate, which had been a reward for contract work for the Goonswarm alliance. The region has been abandoned by KIA Alliance to focus on securing their new home, Period Basis.
KIA Alliance has announced the technical closure of KIA Alliance in September 2009 and is returning to a nomadic life, the original concept of KIA Corp. KIA Corp intends to remain under the KIA Alliance banner.
KIA Alliance is also known for the Bawilan Conga, during a station camp in the Bawilan system, while on protection contract for the Zzz Alliance (not mentioned in contract stats).
A detailed list of former corporations can be found via an external source (Dotlan).
