Junkyard Doggs (Player corporation)
OverviewHistoryHigh Sec ExodusSiege of Paxton
A coalition composed of many of the premier alliances was formed within one of the most volatile regions of EVE to end the unending harassment by the Paxton Federation and to secure key systems between the high sec Tash-Murkon Region and the null sec Providence Region. A call to arms was issued by leaders of the Opticon Alliance and the Junkyard Doggs answered- so began the first day of this climactic war. The battle that ensued was one that will not likely to be forgotten, unprecedented in the history of the corporation, a first glimpse of the large scale battles common to 0.0. The Opticon Alliance, along with many other alliances formed together as a coalition beset the "Pax" sovereignties in the Providence region. The coalition amassed a fleet of two titans, over 20 carriers and dreadnoughts, and 400 PLUS battleships and other support ships. After several hours of intense fighting, the coalition was able to incapacitate several key "Pax" structures, putting three of their stations into reinforce mode (including their home station- Paxtonia in 2-TEGJ) after a short siege. The fleet continued to wreak havoc through "Pax" territory by damaging some of their control towers, putting one Infrastructure Hub into reinforce mode and destroying another along with a large "Pax" fleet of approximately 100 pilots in MH9C-S. At the end of the day, billions of ISK worth of"Pax" assets were lost, while the coalition suffered minimal losses in comparison.
A second call to arms was issued by the previously established coalition to further divide the Paxton Federation's sovereignties in the Providence Region. The coalition fleet successfully destroyed the Infrastructure Hub in QBL-BV early in the operation and along with many of the services on the "Pax" outpost of PXF IncendiaAstrum Fenix in D-GTMI. The latter half of the battle culminated with the widely dispersed coalition fleet being ambushed, and vastly outnumbered 3:1 by pilots from the Paxton Federation, Pandemic Legion and Curatores Veritatis Alliance in I7S-1S. The coalition lost many capital ships in a hard-fought engagement, the Opticon Alliance losing three carriers.
The coalition continued recovering from it's worst losses in the campaign yet. Leaders sensed the need to keep up the pressure and boost moral from the previous day's setback by deploying the fleet deep into "Pax" territory. They encountered little resistance and were able to destroy the Infrastructure Hub and Territorial Claim Unit, ultimately capturing their station in G7AQ-7. This was but the calm before the storm...
With the memory of the massacre in I7S-1S mind, but encouraged by the capture of the first "Pax" station. For this battle, the coalition fielded a huge armada in a decisive plan designed to be the coup de grâce for the Paxton Federation's territory in Providence. The fleet began by assaulting the station in QBL-BV, encountering little opposition at first. Later, the "Pax" fleet numbering around 40, entered the region, but was quickly obliterated by the superior coalition fleet of approximately 450 pilots. As the "Pax" pilots were reforming for a counterattack, they were ambushed by non-coalition Darkside. alliance pilots in MH9C-S, leaving the coalition fleet to continue its operations unimpeded. Realizing the vulnerability of the "Pax" fleet, the coalition moved to MH9C-S and engaged in the largest battle of the campaign yet seen. Approximately 175 enemy, composed primarily of Paxton Federation, Curatores Veritatis Alliance, and other alliances were waiting in a blocking position to halt coalition advance. The fighting was extremely intense as "Pax" and it's allies threw everything it had at the coalition armada. The sheer force and precision of the coalition prompted the destruction of nearly the entire "Pax" fleet in a very costly and crushing defeat. With little or no defensive capabilities left, the coalition was able to return to capture the station in MH9C-S. Signing the victory of the coalition over the Paxton Federation in Providence was the capture of their home station Paxtonia in 2-TEGJ shortly afterward. Costly as the campaign was, the dividends will surely pay as the coalition is strengthened: peace and prosperity has been secured in Providence. Had it not been for the combined response and leadership of many Providence alliances, the campaign may not have ended with this result.
