The Breacher is the Minmatar missile frigate, able to engage at the longest range of any of the Minmatar frigates. The t2 version is the Hound stealth bomber.

the Burst is Minmatar mining frigate. It's the best frigate they have for that purpose, but it does not have the cargo bonus that the other factions mining frigates have. This means it is less prefered, but it is still a decent enough stepping stone for the budding Minmatar miner.

the Probe is the Minmatar scanning frigate. This frigate is able to locate points of intrest in space faster than any other Minmatar frigate, and it also has a skill bonus to cargohold. The t2 version is the Cheetah Covops.

The Rifter is one of the most popular t1 frigates on the market. This frigate is the best at turret combat in the Minmatar set. because of the low skill requirements and the cheapness of the ship, it is often the ship used for pvp situations. the t2 versions are the Wolf and the Jaguar.

The Slasher is the fastest Minmatar frigate. it is not as good at combat as the Rifter, but it is fast enough that it can be used as an extremly inexpensive tackle ship. A tackle ship is a ship dedicated to preventing a target from warping using a warp scrambler. the t2 versions are the Stiletto and the Claw

the Vigil is a basic electronic war platform. The Vigil specializes in target painting, which increases the signature radius of the target, making it easier to hit. The t2 version of the Vigil is the Hyena.
