Ishtar (Fitting)
Player versus EnvironmentThe selective damage of drones & high base resists of the Ishtar make it an excellent ship for running missions. Ishtar, PVE 'The Gallente way' for level 4 missionsThis fit needs many skills to work, and you will need a KZA1000 implant to lower turret CPU for it to fit like that. If you lack CPU, you can always offline the remote armor repairer, it's here for the purpose of repairing drones between pockets or between missions without docking. High Slots:

Ishtar, PVE against GuristasThis fit (and variations, e.g. w/ dualrep) is the most common used for doing Guristas 0.0 complexes. It is able to do nearly all of them with ease, except for The Maze, Dread Guristas Fleet Staging Point and other similiar ones. With 97% kinetic and 94% thermal resistances it can tank a lot of NPCs. Ishtar, passive for level 4 missionsThis is a medium skill, medium cost setup for Gallente players with heavy drones. It has a passive shield tank that is always active. It has a major problem with CPU usually High Slots:

Low Slots: Rig Slots: Drones: Level 5 capless passive tankThis is a capless setup capable of tanking high-dps level 5 missions. This will allow very good damage reduction against NPCS like guristas/serpentis (those that do kin/therm damage). Even if it gets neuted, the tank will hold. High Slots:
Medium Slots: Low Slots: Rig Slots: Using 3x Kinetic Deflection Amplifier II will result in a tank of 2200dps to Guristas. Relative to the Nighthawk it has roughly 100m signature less. So the tanks are nearly identical. Level 5 capless passive tank with higher HP & DPSThis is a capless setup capable of tanking high-dps level 5 missions, and returning adequate dps volley including drones. Using T1 Rigs to save isk. This will allow very good damage reduction against NPCS like guristas/serpentis (those that do kin/therm damage). Even if it gets neuted, the tank will hold, and you can continue to exchange fire. This setup has more affective HP (26,741 LVL 5 affecting skills) than the above Level 5 capless passive tank. High Slots:

Low Slots: Rig Slots: Drones: DPS will vary depending on affecting skills. DPS shown above with LVL 5 affecting skills. Player versus PlayerThe Ishtar is a versatile combat ship. With Heavy Drones, the Ishtar can provide substantial damage output. With Sentry Drones, the Ishtar has an extremely long effective range. Unfortunately, the relatively low base hit points, weak power grid and even weaker CPU leave the Ishtar with serious survivability issues. Never the less, the Ishtar is a very capable and dangerous ship in the hands of an experienced pilot.
High Skill Swiss Army KnifeVery demanding of skills, the Ishtar takes many millions of Skill Points to use properly. However, when it is well fit, there are very few ships their pilots do not feel willing to take on. This particular fit emphasizes survivability and drone damage output. With the armor afforded by the plate and resistance modifiers, this Ishtar can take much more punishment than the raw hull. The tracking disruptor is arguably the module that will make or break this Ishtar, as it does not boast a particularly robust tank. This load out requires a power-grid rig to fit, increasing the cost considerably. Wealthy pilots looking to enhance the ability of their ship would benefit significantly from a faction warp disruptor and Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane. High Slots: Medium Slots:
