New Item Icons in Incursion

Incursion introduces significant graphical changes to item icons. What does that mean for you as a player? - To be more specific: The Incursion expansion will change the graphical display of item icons. You will be able to recognize not only the tech level, but also the meta level of an item at a glance.

Appearances may be deceiving? Not anymore! Even though it appears to be no more than a cosmetic change, there's a lot more to it in the end. It may in fact turn out to be a significant tool to prevent you from making a rash action or even worse. Instantly recognizing an item type, while clearing out the entire contents of a hangar might thus prevent you from accidentally trashing your Tech III or faction items.
But more than that: Instantly recognizing an item type - and its real value - might help you to protect yourself against trade and contract scammers. Just remember to inspect the contract details, and you'll see what the offer is all about. So take all the time you need, to get familiar with the new item icons and descriptions. Being prepared for this particular change in graphics will enable you to know exactly how an item is supposed to look. While it won't pay off instantly, it might prevent you from being the one, who has to pay the price eventually.

In addition to the individual icons' changes, new columns have been added to the hangar menu, to allow for a re-categorizing of items by category, tech or meta level. This should make it easier to organize and keep track of your assets, as well as those of your player corporation.
