House Aratus is a balanced corporation focused in null sec. House Aratus is part of Fatal Ascension, an alliance that is also part of Deklein Coalition. House Aratus holds the NBSI(Not Blue Shoot it) policy within null sec space. House Aratus holds blue standings with members of Deklein Coalition and Northern Coalition.

History

The Genesis of House Aratus began with the founders, Adreu Aratus and Hypatus. House Aratus was stationed in Adreland in Gallente space and began welcoming any miners and industrialists. The main focus of the corporation was to organize friendly social mining events and mission operations. This is where the foundation of House Aratus began, as a friendly member oriented corporation and has been to this day. In Adreland we experienced our first War...which we called the Gorgonite War. We lost to these battles due to a lack of experience - not to a lack of valour. At this time we were approached by the alliance of Manifest Destiny, which we joined. With them we defeated the Gorgonites and in the process learnt how to fight.

After a few months Manifest Destiny began to fold as an alliance. We decided to leave and go Independent.

House Aratus moved their main station to Bereye. In Bereye House Aratus was involved in a number of wars that took a toll on the corporation. However, the wars were not the only contributing factor that took its toll on House Aratus. An infiltrator masking himself as the founders alt infiltrated the corp and took most of the ISK from the corporation wallet and any corporation blueprints they had within the Corp Hanger. When the leadership found out what was happening they seized the infiltrator's roles and removed him from the corporation, but he managed to steal just about all of House Aratus's assets.

After the infiltration the corporation began overhauling their screening processes and admission into the corporation. The leadership asked for any donations that players would be willing to give and within a week the corporation wallet swelled to what they had previously. This act of comradeship has made House Aratus as always a member corporation and it is the act of the members that saved the corporation from ceasing to exist. CCP also helped as the infiltration went against CCP rules, you cannot use the name of the CEO to infiltrate a corp. Thank you CCP.

House Aratus gained respect from many of its former war enemies. One corporation that managed to camp the majority of our members in Bereye, stationed camped us for some time and did not expect a fight due to assuming House Aratus as a "Care Bear" corporation, but they were proven wrong. Our corporation gathered what pilots we had online and fitted the best ships we could possibly bring and undocked to face the enemy. We managed to kill two of the enemy ships while losing many of our own ships in the process, but this act gained the respect of the war decking corporation, which they personally expressed to the CEO of House Aratus.

More war decs followed and the decision was taken to turn House Aratus into a PVP oriented corporation. House Aratus began running low sec operations - training our members in the art of war. Our thirst for PVP could not be quenched and so began the look for a Null-Sec alliance. At this time Adreu Aratus due to real life commitments stepped down as CEO and DrivingForce took the helm.

House Aratus joined Fatal Ascension and with only a handful of members began operations in null-sec. With great determination and drive House Aratus in time excelled and our numbers swelled. House Aratus once a humble corp is now a power-base of exceptional pilots.

House Aratus is part of Fatal Ascension, a null sec based alliance currently holding sovereignty in Cloud Ring, Pure Blind and Fade. House Aratus has been on multiple spearheads for the alliance into taking Cloud Ring from Evoke and Fountain from IT. Its member base now doubled due to the merge with House Celtae, a corporation within Fatal Ascension. They have gained the respect of fellow corporations and alliance members and is held in high esteem within the alliance.
