The Taleweaver

Herko Kerghans was a player and prolific creator of (unofficial) EVE fiction, which he published in the EVE-online forums over a period stretching from 2005 to 2006. After establishing a name for himself, he took the title 'Taleweaver' to mark his craft.

Regarded by many within the roleplaying community as one of the most inventive and talented storywriters in EVE.

The content and events team of CCP also highly regarded his work, especially since it fleshed out the underlying culture of the Caldari, which had previously been left somewhat barren and purely modern-capitalistic; Herko gave the Caldari a spiritual center (which was implied to have been worn down by centuries of corporatism). Eventually, Cold Wind was made canon, and details in things like the rank descriptions for the Gallente and Caldari militias imply that much of what he wrote has been incorporated into a sort of "background canon", even if the actual chronicles have not been published on the website.
